I applied from Ottawa, sent documents to Sydney. Not sure where they are processing the papers. What is your processing office?
I decided to email the Vancouver office yesterday using the same address that I sent the passport scans to asking when I might expect prohibitions and BG checks to be completed and within 1 hour received the following response:Right?! That’s what I’m thinking it must be too. Yeah, I was asked for fingerprints in January and I sent them the same week as I recall. My tracker states they were received early Feb. I wonder if it has anything to do with the fact I have a somewhat common name but surely this shouldn’t be hard to decipher from a difference in DOB, location, etc.
congratulations.Done with our Oath Taking today.
Finally, I can say that we are C-A-N-A-D-I-A-N-S.
I couldn't be more grateful to all people in this forum for all their support and guidance throughout our immigration journey!
Soon, I hope everyone will feel the same feeling of joy and excitement that me and family are feeling right now.
Good luck and I wish the best in each and everyone
Indeed. If every one receives a customized response like this, everyone would feel much better, and much more understanding. The generic response throws us in the dark, and keeps us anxious as to what is going on. I wish if they implemented this for each inquiry made by webform, though.I decided to email the Vancouver office yesterday using the same address that I sent the passport scans to asking when I might expect prohibitions and BG checks to be completed and within 1 hour received the following response:
"We have received your fingerprints results and has passed it on our system. The clearance that we are waiting for to pass is called the security clearance which is taken care of by another department outside of Vancouver. They don’t provide us with a timeline as to their processing time. We have an officer who is looking after your file. She will move your file forward as soon as she sees that the security clearance has passed. There is no need to follow up."
Quite nice to see a direct response rather than the usual generic stuff. Patiently waiting now for DM.
Did they send you an email with all the information on what to do or physical postage?Got my oath email on 27th October. Oath ceremony is on November 2 2021.
