Hello Members,

I have done Diploma in ECE after 10th and then I did B.Tech (Part Time) through AMIE and finally part time M.Tech.

I was filing my application fir SINP program. I have choosen NOC 2241 as per my current and previous job duties.

As per NOC 2241 minimum qualification required is as under:

“Completion of a two- or three-year college program in electrical or electronics engineering technology, computer engineering technology, telecommunications technology or an equivalent is usually required for electrical or electronics engineering technologists.”

As per WES in case of engineering ECA of highest degree is enough to claim points. In my case M.Tech is my highest qualification so I have ECA of my M.Tech only.

But now when I was filing SINP application and filled my NOC as 2241 then next question was whether you have ECA for qualification required by this NOC?

So I am confused now because min. qualification for NOC 2241 is Diploma but I have ECA only for my highest qualification.

So senior members pls help me in this case.

You can say no. Your issue is going to be is that your masters in tech needs to match your NOC, which would be an engineering not a technologist NOC. Your NOC is for college graduates, whereas your NOC should be for engineering.

I have completed my Diploma in 2009 and since then I am working in the same field, my job duties are same till date which matches with NOC 2241. So I became eligible to work for duties mentioned in NOC after completing my Diploma. Meanwhile I done further education and earned B.tech and M.Tech degree by studying part time. So I think my NOC should not be an issue. I am in dilemma only because of question related to ECA of my Diploma because I have only ECA of highest qualification as per WES guidelines.

Your NOC will be an issue as SINP requirements are that your education must match your NOC. If you have a Masters then they will expect your NOC to match the engineering NOCs. NOC 2241 only requires a diploma, and if you have an ECA only for your Masters then all you can do is say yes. If your application is refused it will be because you have a Masters for that NOC.

I have completed my masters in 2019 but I am working in this field since 2009 when I had only diploma.

Ok. SINP may view it as you trying to get around licensing requirements since you have a masters and should be stating an Engineering NOC. All the best.
