@legalfalcon Its almost reaching 2 years for my application. But I am still not seeing any progress on my application. Is there anything I can do? Its costing me a lot of time and money. Thank you for your help

Delays are rampant and across the board. However, has your eligibility passed?

Did you order GCMS notes to see what stage your application is at and what is pending?

@legalfalcon what if one send photo and all other documents for PR card after PR Approval and them leave Canada and apply PRTD as well in some other country, would it affect the PR Card application.

They are separate processes and have no bearing on each other.

My husband and I were going through the same thing. Our AOR was Nov, 2019. A friend of ours suggested we file a mandamus application because our processing time has gone beyond what is necessary. We approached a lawyer who specialised in mandamus and it cost approximately $3k but it was worth it. The whole thing came through in less than a month. You should definitely give it a shot. There are certain requirements for filing a mandamus so check if you are eligible for filing one.
@Pk994 Can you pls share your lawyer details? I am CEC inland with my dependents and waiting for 15 months now

The law firm we went to was Battista Smith Migration Law Group. There are few others out there too.
Our lawyer was very sweet and understanding of our situation. We got everything done in under a month's time. Portal email, eCOPR, PPR etc came within days of the approval email.
15 months should be okay. We were told that anything after a year is usually eligible as long as there are no issues with the application from our side.

@Pk994 Thank you for the detailed info! Gives us a possible option to explore. BTW, what was your application status when you decided to go with the mandamus, like, was it approved in principle or were you still waiting for the final decision?

Hi you're welcome! Hope it helps some people stuck with the application.
Our application was at 'final decision pending' for 6 months. We had submitted our remedicals in July.

Another thing they asked for the mandamus was if we had some temporary remedy. We showed that my visiting visa was rejected twice and the SOWP application had been processing since June with no progress from their side whatsoever.

This definitely helps a lot! Our application has crossed the 16-month mark and has been at Final Decision Pending for 7 months. And the same with the temporary visas: either refused or no progress.

Again, thanks for highlighting this option!

You're welcome! Do look into it further. I read up a ton before we went ahead with it to the lawyer. You can find lots of cases and resources online. Hope it helps your case too!
