This is very normal for IRCC. Delays are rampant and as per the last IRCC ATIP report, 49% of the requests were delayed and 6% took longer than 120 days to be released.

If you have filed a request, it will be released, when, no one can predict. You can just wait.

You can file a complaint with the Office of the Information Commissioner pursuant to section 30 of the ATI Act.
Thank you @legalfalcon, I tried complaint portal but it was not working on that time. i will surely try it after two week if they didn't provide any info. Thanks once again.

Good morning,
I got a document request to submit my spouse's new passport as his current one expiring soon. I was given a deadline of 1 week to submit this. However, a new issue of a passport is taking up to a month and above. How do i respond to IRCC in this situation?

Thank you

Hi Legalfalcon,
As a PNP Outland, my full time job is 37.5 hrs per week. In Canada, would this be considered full time, because this is what is stated on my employment confirmation letter.

Hi Legalfalcon,

For FSW applications received on or after May 4, 2013

Pursuant to R73(1), “full-time work” means at least 30 hours of work over a period of one week, and pursuant to R73(2), “work” means an activity for which wages are paid or commission is earned.

Calculating work experience for FSW

Work experience can be calculated by:

  • adding up the number of continuous weeks of full-time (or equivalent in part-time) paid work (i.e., 30 hours/37.5 hours per week in one full-time job, a combined total of at least 30 hours/37.5 hours per week in more than one part-time job,
  • 15 hours per week in one part-time job over a period of two years, etc) in one or more skilled occupations at Skill Type 0 (Managerial occupations), Skill Level A (Professional occupations) or B (Technical occupations and skilled trades) of NOC 2011.
Note: Work in excess of 30 hours/37.5 hours of paid work over a period of one week cannot compensate for less than one year of full-time work experience.

Learn about "Chinook" - Internal IRCC tool to speed processing of immigration applications
To make IRCC’s case-management software more “user friendly,” IRCC employees created Chinook to “extract” application information, such as gender, marital status, citizenship, age and purpose of visit, from GCMS into a spreadsheet, with multiple applications on a single report.

Hello, @legalfalcon

Today I received my gcms notes applied on 9th July, 2021. According to Assessment portion my eligibility is not started till now due to the review required (Statutory question). I was applied my first application of pr in 2006 and in 2008 all applications are rejected and fee is refunded by making a new law. Can you tell (approximately time) how much time they taken to done my eligibility in this scenario.

One more question: In my previous application my NOC is totally different from my latest application. It is matter because it was applied in 2006 and after that i was changed my profession.

My application transferred to New Delhi on 03.02.2021 from CIO. I am SINP nominated and applied through EE on 24.12.2020

Thanks in advance.

The GCMS notes are generated a few days after the request is filed. The date of generation is listed at the bottom of each page of the GCMS notes.

Even when the GCMS notes are delayed, the date of generation may be old, so the info you are seeing is over 1-2 months old.

Hi @legalfalcon

Considering the overall situation when all PNPs are receiving PPR and FSW have yet to start even receiving remed yet, do you think there is a realistic chance for 2019 fsw applicants to receive PPR by 2021?

& considering the recent development on anti racism findings do you things there is a real possibility of lawsuit against them? In that case, will it be favorable for us ? & how long can it take for the entire process to finish ? thanks in advance for your insight.

All agencies undergo internal evaluations and this is nothing new. A lawsuit alleging discrimination has nothing to do with how a department functions. As of today, IRCC would be dealing with thousands of cases in the federal court, immigration board etc. I would not read much into it, except such work culture is unacceptable and if there has been racism in processing applications, then that will have to be probed by individuals as and when they approach a lawyer. You can only file a case when there is an injury and not on basis of a report.

Since more applicants have been receiving PPRs, there is a high likely hood that in the months to come, FSW applicants too will see more approvals, and some have already received them.
