Hi all,

I applied for SIN on 28th sep and still waiting for it, on calling they said it’s still under process. Anyone in same situation?

You can go directly to the Service Canada and apply for a SIN. You will get it the same day if you go in person. My wife and I went directly to Service Canada and received it the same day.

No appointment needed. You can go directly. Get there first thing in the morning in order to beat the crowd. When I went, they asked me if I had an appointment. I replied "No, do I need one?" To which they replied "No, you don't need one. You can walk in".

I visited service CANADA today and still wasn’t given sin number as they told me that there is one more person with same details like me, this is real shit and just delaying my sin. Ok I understand the other person have same dob like me but how the fuc* that person has the same parents name? They are just confused and just making excuses. 2 months and I am still unemployed because of these shitty people

Go speak to your mp and see if they can help. In my view it should be possible to get a temporary number but not an expert.

Hi, I am facing same issue. It's 45 days now still waiting. After how much time did you got yours. Do I need to reapply for SIN in person to service canada. Pls reply and help
