@legalfalcon - a bit of confusion on quarantine requirements. As per latest instructions, fully vaccinated travelers are not required to quarantine. However the ArriveCAN app still asks for quarantine details even if fully vaccinated. Your views on this please ? Thanks !!

That is because if your rapid PCR test comes positive, you will have to quarantine and the address should be in with the authorities.

Yes, if you have an upload window in your account you can do it through there or send it by webform.
 
Hello, I have an Express entry application processing. I recently got married in the US and added my spouse as my dependent and submitted all the required docs to IRCC including marriage certificate.
However, my current Indian passport has expired and I got a new one, but it states that I am single. I now need to update my passport on my IRCC profile. Will it be a problem that it says I'm single instead of married?

Any response is appreciated.

IRCC has nothing to do with your passport and your marital status on it.

Query reg ECA results

I am B.com MBA and MCA qualified from separate universities.

I went for getting ECA result from WES for my B.com and MCA in order to get masters equivalency (didn’t evaluated MBA as WES evaluates Indian MBA as 1 year diploma)

During secondary verification university gave negative verification for MCA by mistake and hence WES closed my account and notified appropriate authorities about fraudulent education credentials. Later University send across apology to WES for negatively verifying the credential explaining human error, but WES did not re-opened the account.

Hence after loosing hope from WES , I moved over to IQAS and got masters equivalency (only got my MBA and B.com evaluated) and did not evaluated MCA as I do not wanted to take any second chance in IQAS.

Query is whether after receiving PNP Nomination/ITA I need to disclose following things in Letter of explanation (LOE) to IRCC case officer -
  • WES rejection/account closure case and alongside successful evaluation from IQAS.
  • Reason for removing one of education from IQAS evaluation which was previously negatively evaluated by WES?

Waiting for valuable input from your end.
 
Hi LegalFalcon, need your advise. I am inland CEC with dependents inland . After 17 months my application was approved in aug 2021. I am yet to receive CoPR but I have received my PR cards 2 weeks back itself.
Now I have an emergency and need to visit India and I need to renew my daughter’s passport. As per Indian gov rules for passport extension, if PR one of the mandatory doc is either CoPR or status of verification.
I have reached out to IRCC viz emails to PR portal and I have raised a webform also with doctor letters etc related to emergency in India. However I did not get any response since last two weeks.
Reached out to MP and they contacted IRCC and they said they have already uploaded CoPR docs in online portal. But I did not see any and attached screenshot and send to my MP team and now they said you have to wait and I don’t know
Spoke to IRCC call center and the least said the better about them as they don’t think Lukemia to one of parent is critical as they say usual response we are looking at Afghan, critical and emergency cases only.
What would be my options to get CoPR.
I am requesting IRCC to reupload or send to my email, but no response as usual.
 
@legalfalcon , Today I crossed 100 days to applied my GCMS notes through ATIP, I followed up as you suggested and get a response after one week as below:

Thank you for contacting the Access to Information and Privacy Office.

We acknowledge that your request has been received and is in processing. According to our records, your request was due on August 9, 2021.

Although we make efforts to provide timely access to records, the large volume of requests our institution processes makes it impossible to determine the exact date your file will be ready.

Please note that we have flagged your request as priority and the information will be forwarded to you as soon as possible.

We apologize for any inconvenience this situation may cause.

My question is that is they provide me notes or I will raise a new application. Please suggest, I am very desperate because they didn't provide information on phone and through webform. As per their reply request was due on 9th August, but they excuse same old repetitive of high volume of requests. I don't understand how they provide others notes just within one or two months?

This is very normal for IRCC. Delays are rampant and as per the last IRCC ATIP report, 49% of the requests were delayed and 6% took longer than 120 days to be released.

If you have filed a request, it will be released, when, no one can predict. You can just wait.

You can file a complaint with the Office of the Information Commissioner pursuant to section 30 of the ATI Act.

The ECA issued from any IRCC recognized body is final and you do not have to disclose WES assessment.
