My sister got approved for Visitors Visa. She is from the Philippines

Timeline:

October 1 submitted application
October 2 biometrics letter
October 5 biometrics done
October 13 Passport request

Are they giving 10yrs multiple visa for siblings?

How are people getting their biometrics done so quickly? I am having issue booking an appointment for biometrics in VFS India as the dates are not available until few months. Anybody know what to do here?

Hi Everyone , I got my PPR request yesterday. Just want to share my timeline. Submitted my application through GCkey

Submitted Application : 9th September 2021
Biometrics payment request : 23rd September 2021
Biometrics request letter : 1st October 2021
BioMetrics Date: 4th October 2021
PPR request 15th October

I applied from costa rica , I forgot to submit any optional documents (Invitation letter, bank statement ,salary slip etc).

Note : I already have expired work permit from Canada and purpose my current application is visiting my friend

I am assuming you had not applied before sept 7th first?

Other than the biometric request, did you get any updates before? (Started eligibity, etc)

yes I applied after 7th September

Nope, I did not get any update after my biometrics. I got all the updates together along with my PPR..

I recently heard about this new IRCC portal and created an account on it today. However, when i click on create new visitor visa application on the new IRCC portal its giving me an error as below since morning. Anyone come across this before?

Dear All,

I am planning to visit my sister in Canada. I am currently working in Qatar. The company name on my residency permit in Qatar and the company I work for are different. How will this affect my visit visa application when I submit my residency permit and current employment related documents.

Anyone who faced similar issue and tackled this, please help me out.

Since you provided your bank statements, did you also provide a Letter of Support?

I just stated in my invitation letter that my sister will be staying with me and I will be providing accommodation and food during her stay
