Honestly, I dont see CEC draws coming back once they start FSWs.
Now, as a light of hope, I think they might do a major FSW draw as their International Partners offices will run out of work if they dont do a draw.

I don't think they will run out of work.
My VO (Rabat) didn't deliver a single PPR since the beginning of the pandemic, and even if many people are in the "waiting for final decision" stage, there are some (like me) with over 2 years of waiting, and still in Review Required with no action taken since the beginning...
The best thing I like about role transfer in politics is that no one like to take previous shit. They might prefer to clear it sooner so that new Minister (Hopefully a good one) is not accountable for past deeds
let's hope the next prick ain't clearing it by cancelling+wiping off all applications and start from scratch

Thats the real worry which is being amplified by no movement in FSWs. I just hope we start seeing few so that we are out of this fear
I hope new immigration minister believes us to be skilled workers
Just think these are people who are masters with more than 3 years of experience and above average communication skills. They are being sidelined like they are another grade of population

Not terribly needed in Canada if those people are in STEM. The whole country is built upon two economic pillars: oil&gas and service sector. FSW is really the only reason why any STEM folk in their right mind would choose to immigrate to Canada. Unless there's a governmental movement to push production, manufacturing, technology, R&D and such in Canada, there'll be some significant economic issues in the next decade. Oil&gas doesn't have very good future prospects. Even arabs figured that out lol UAE has been trying to sell Dubai as an R&D hub of the future.
Honestly, I see a huge potential in Canada in terms of STEM. Now STEM is related to many other professions and thus expecting a huge upside.
Bright minds coming together with nothing to lose can pave path for many innovations and inventions which might be the need of the hour.
Lets be honest, just having diploma people (Majority of Study Visas) wont take country far ahead and they really need skilled resources. FSW is the real cream of the whole fat milk

Without jobs and the right investment, the number of skilled professionals in Canada is irrelevant; they'll only be driving Uber or flipping burgers at McDonald's. Canada has very little intentions to drive the investments in the direction of STEM. Go look up STEM jobs and compare with US and EU jobs. You'll see Canada is far behind. It saddens me to see it but I work personally with some very skilled circles in Canada and I've heard this with my own ears from one of such distinguished people: "Canada has no need for specialists."
If this is true then what is the point of immigrating to Canada? If people are unable to find jobs, they will just leave no?
