Hello Friends,

Need your help in understating the cosigner's income consideration.

I got married in 2019, to sponsor my parents if my spouse is a cosigner, will the spouse income from 2018 considered ? or spouse income only after 2019 is considered?

Thanks

You married in 2019, you were single in 2018... If you had different spouse in 2018, then that can be considered

Guys advice, I am in between if i should submit my application or not. I am short by $1000 for LICO for 2018, I didn't know the EI will not be considered as income. if i submit my application and pay for the all the fees and i get refused, do i get the
wondering what CIC would to do for unqulified
It is painful to see folks who know that they do not qualify for this program applying and taking away a qualified applicant's place.

It is already a lottery-based system which in itself is a joke considering the fact that every year you are trying to get your parents to get picked out of 100k or more applications. They need to start doing something similar to what other countries are doing ie, Process applications by the day/time they applied, they can still use the quote system per year but we will know for sure that one day our parents' application will be processed.
wondering what CIC would do for those unqualified invited applicants, does they re-draw for any vacant spot?

No - these spots just go to waste.

If I recall correctly, EI is considered income if it is like maternity/paternity leave. Best to check on cic website or call their call center number to confirm.
According to earlier post, @Fred200a, does not have children.
So it's unlikely that 's maternity/parental leave. Sounds like he doesn't have enough income in 2018 even after adding his wife as co-signer.

that may explain why CIC taking 30k this for 2021
Yes, absolutely. They are assuming a certain % of those either won't apply or will be refused because they don't qualify.

Losing hope. so disappointed. I think CIC is done with invitations. They gave last date of 7th Oct for their cushion, they are done otherwise.
Our parents were just a number, they could not make it. ...again
