Parents and Grandparents Sponsorship 2021

It is painful to see folks who know that they do not qualify for this program applying and taking away a qualified applicant's place.

It is already a lottery-based system which in itself is a joke considering the fact that every year you are trying to get your parents to get picked out of 100k or more applications. They need to start doing something similar to what other countries are doing ie, Process applications by the day/time they applied, they can still use the quote system per year but we will know for sure that one day our parents' application will be processed.

Hi All,
I got invited for my Parents Sponsorship 2021 last week.

1.When i was going through the checklist they asked to upload the Proof of status in Canada when i submitted for Interest to Sponsor. When i submitted i was a PR and last month i acquired my Citizenship? According to the checklist they asked to submit exactly same document.

Can someone suggest on this?

2.And for my parents when they got married they did not have marriage certificate. what do i need to upload now?

NOTE: They already have visitor visa for Canada. While that time i had uploaded only Marriage invitation of them.

1 - You can mention that you had a change of status and submit citizenship certificate if you have one.
2 - You can submit an affidavit of marriage for your parents.

yup dwindling hopes now, hanging by the last thread. Hope they streamline the process to filter eligible candidates. Although ineligible candidates give IRCC extra revenue in terms of non-refundable fees for an application that may not satisfy LICO, it puts more pressure on an already overwhelming pipeline. (That's an impatient me posting just after 2 failed windows. The plight of those applying for 4-5 yrs must be tough)
