" if you already told us that you qualify for a COVID-19 exemption", I already applied before September 7 and my application is under reviewing, Im fully vaccinated with PFizer vaccine and vaccination cards already attached to application in Client information , is vaccination makes me qualified for COVID-19 exemption? If yes, How to inform them about COVID-19 exemption?
Hi, in my case, when I select "To unite with an extended family member" in this link https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/visit-canada/apply-visitor-visa.html it will show the instruction to apply, and there it says:

Upload proof of vaccination to ArriveCAN only, if applicable (you don’t need to upload it with your application).

I am applying for visitor visa for my parents and grandparents and I don't see an option for uploading vaccination certificate for my parents. For my grandparents (extended family member), the application asks for the following:
Documents you need to complete the application

  • A valid passport or travel document
    • You must have at least 1 free page where we can stick your visitor visa
  • Application for authorization and statutory declaration (IMM 0006) – if the person you’re uniting with in Canada is 18 years or older
  • Application for authorization and statutory declaration for the parent of a minor (IMM 0016) – if the person you’re uniting with in Canada is under the age of 18
  • Proof of your family member's status in Canada

And on the page where we have to upload the documents, it says
Statutory declaration
Evidence that you meet one of the following requirements if you’re an immediate family member of a Canadian citizen, person registered under the Indian Act or permanent resident
  • You’ll stay in Canada for 15 days or more
  • You’re travelling for a non-discretionary purpose
Evidence that you meet the following requirement if you’re an immediate family member of a temporary resident
  • You’re travelling for a non-discretionary purpose

Do we still need to fill IMM 0006 form if my grandparents are fully vaccinated? It's conflicting information since the other visit Canada page says you are exempted from all of this if you are fully vaccinated.

In the portal the documents which we can upload are
- Passport
- Bank statement
-Relationship
-Vaccination card
- Status in Canada of the family member
- Proof of the relationship
- Additional doc explaining why you need to travel (Optional)

Pay the fee (100 cad) and we will have the confirmation immediately that the application is received
No it depends on your status if you hold a us visa and an old canadina visa you will not need the documents you noted.there is no section for that to upload ,please am i right?

In the new ircc portal they have asked if we have a US B1/B2 visa. Does this visa play any role in getting the canadian visa approved?

it’s weird in this new portal, there’s not much form that needs to be submitted unlike the GCKEY. But in our application we submitted only what we need and see how it goes

I think if you hold a us visa this will facilitate to obtain a canadian visitor visa and you upload few documents via the new portal.
