Yes, I think you must inform them that you're abroad, and CIC can allow you to sit the citizenship test while abroad. I got a citizenship test invitation in March 2021, I informed CIC I'm outside of Canada. They postponed the test. Then in July 2021, CIC sent me another test invitation, this time they allowed I sit it from abroad. I passed the test, my status was updated with the result and nothing since then.To those who did the test from outside of Canada - do you have to send an email back to let them know if you can take it from outside or now they have some kind of another way to acknowledge that you are outside and can still take the test? thank you!
