1. Some pending CEC apps from last year != all pending FSW apps from the last 3 years
2. IRCC pretty much gave away free PRs when they did the CRS 75 mega draw or when they created the 90k TR to PR pathway.
3. They did subsequent low score draws consistently for 7-8 months and if still some people didn't get picked, it's the fault of FSWs.
4. CECs/Inland residents will never run out of PR options. All political parties love them and have special plans for them.
5. Outlanders really have no rights. IRCC can treat them however they want to treat them. They can even cancel their applications but there is nothing that can be done about it.
1. The point remains though that they are pending apps from both streams from last year, which points to a flaw in how they process apps and not some preferential treatment for CECs over FSWs. Actually, we've all noticed the 'trickle' over the last few months, and more and more people continue to report movements on their application, it is not ideal, but you cannot outrightly say they stopped processing FSW applications.
2/3/4. Only on 'FSW Worldwide' does the notion of "Free PR" exist. You still have to qualify for whatever program you apply to and are selected for. It has been said a thousand times already, IRCC obviously tried to retain workers from certain sectors during the heights of the pandemic, there is nothing wrong in that. No one can dictate to Canada what it does for anyone. And while true that CEC inland will never un out of options, they are only a fraction of workers in Canada, before the start of the pandemic, it was not unusual to see people have to leave Canada having not achieved the points necessary to migrate - there was a trending story of some start-up founder who had to leave a few years back for instance.
5. That cancelling application nonsense only has legs on this thread. There were mitigating factors for the often cited instances, which do not exist in this case.
