Let me remind you one big reality that applies to both dogs and humans:I don't give two shits about your personality if you're butt ugly.

Pugs ARE butt ugly.

Fuck pugs man. I wanna go out and find some pugs to kick now.

You sound nice. I hope you get what's coming to you if this is how you actually treat animals. Shame on you.

I feel like the IRCC will be deeply concerned with the situation in Afghanistan until the next new crisis, be it Godzilla or the end of the world.

I haven't seen any department doing the job this badly. IRCC has created a mess that cannot be handled by anyone right now. At least, they can just inform the outlanders' aspirants that we are not going to issue draws by this month or year. The timeline would ease a lot of us to follow or focus on things in our home country.

Or you can take the silence as a no and carry on without waiting for the draw to happen.

Slightly different perspective:
A lot of people have put forward cogent arguments how circumstances were different when applications were canceled in the past and won't/can't happen now. Common arguments are:
-Files were paper based, system needed to change.
-Economy of Canada was changing and no longer needed certain NOCs.

If you look at present situation, those reasons are somewhat applicable even today:
-Canada wants to target certain NOCs now (Hint: new immigration system that is expected to be announced soon) and perhaps the long list of Apps already in post AOR have NOCs which are not relevant to the current labor market.
-Second, Canadian labor market has suffered enormous job loses due to businesses closures during pandemic which has changed the economic landscape and needs of Canada. Therefore, enormous amount of people in the backlog (mostly FSWs) are no longer needed at present time since there aren't that many job available.
Conclusion: If Canada wants to cancel Apps in backlog, they can, same circumstances are present as they were in the past when Apps were canceled.

No Santa you are absolutely wrong. the 2 reasons mentioned by you are not the prime reasons for them to cancel it. The prime reason was those applications were not even had their processing started for years so they had to be cancelled to align with the contemporary requirements. I don't know whether Santas are getting paid too these days for spreading negativities. FYI.... IRCC is not in the shoe to cancel any single application any time soon and bro this 21st Century, stop riding on the sleigh and be practical. Hope to see you next Christmas....byeee.
