ATIP notes and change of address

Hi all,

Would like some advice. I received a Decision Made on my application on July 15th. Soon after that, I moved to a new province and opened a web form request to change my address. My address was updated on eCas system around early August. After that, I requested my ATIP notes, which I received today. While I see my webform request on ATIP notes, my primary office is still denoted as Montreal Citizenship.

• How long it takes for IRCC to transfer the file and does update of address on eCas denote that file transfer has been complete?
• Should I see primary office updated to my new province on ATIP notes (which I don't see right now)?

Not all address change leads to file transfer. It should not matter to us as primary office is responsible for the file. So you just need to wait for oath invite.
We cant do much other than that.

Not all address changes will result in file transfers like @harirajmohan has already mentioned.

It depends on the policy of the office at the time of address change. There were some applicants who changed their addresses (moved to another provinces) but their "Event office" was their original local visa office - meaning they received their test invitations from the office that was handling their application before they moved.

If there IS indeed a file transfer, it might take a while for the physical paper file to be sent to the new office and for that to be reflected in the GCMS notes.

You can wait for your oath email and pay attention to the office code in the email. For instance, MIS stands for Mississauga Office, SCR for Scarborough, MTL for Montreal.
