Quarantine and SIN: How to get an address proof?

I am coming to Canada on an ICT visa. This is the first time I am coming to Canada and do not have any kind of address proof and not even a SIN.

My plan is to complete my 14-day quarantine in the "approved hotel" and AirBnB. After the quarantine period is over, go hunt for an apartment, use the lease agreement to apply for SIN online and then wait for it to arrive in mail. This plan will get me the SIN in 14 day (quarantine) + 7 days (find and move to new apartment) + 20 days (wait for SIN) = 41 days (~6 weeks) in the best case.

My understanding is that I need SIN to start working for my employer. Please correct if this is not completely accurate. If it is, then it would mean that it would be 1.5-2 months before I can start working in Canada.

This sounds crazy! There has to be a way out. My question is to folks who came in during the pandemic and had to go through the 14-day quarantine. How did you manage getting the SIN on time?

In another thread on the forum, someone recommended changing your foreign bank address to a Canadian address. I have several bank accounts and credit cards in US that I can change to Canadian address (of AirBnb or to a friend's address). Has anyone been able to do that successfully?

What are my other options?

Thanks
