Hello Everyone,
I'm preparing for my PR application through EE stream, my partner is a Canadian citizen. Since he is Canadian already, I put him down as unaccompanying PR Spouse.
One of the questions he needs to answer is, Does he have a relative who is a citizen or permanent resident of Canada? In his case because his whole family members are Canadians, so we put 'yes' to this question, which led us to this list of documents required to be submitted in the following section:

Thank you in advance!

One of the questions he needs to answer is, Does he have a relative who is a citizen or permanent resident of Canada? In his case because his whole family members are Canadians, so we put 'yes' to this question, which led us to this list of documents required to be submitted in the following section:
Family Member Proof of Status (required) |
Proof of PR/Citizenship of sibling (required) |
Proof of residency in Canada of sibling (required) |
Proof of sibling relationship (required) |
Questions:
- Since I am not claiming any points from the Canadian relatives section, (I do not have any Canadian relatives, and having a Canadian common-law is treated the same as being single in the mark calculations), do we need to provide all the above documents?
- If No, should I attach an explanation letter to the 4 documents, to justify the reason: not providing documents on Canadian relatives, because I am not claiming points for that, ie. common-law is Canadian citizen. I would really appreciate if you could provide any guidance for the explanation letter.
- If Yes
- Do I need to include all pages of passports from all his Canadian family members, ie. all direct family members (parents, siblings etc.)
- what's the recommended document to prove a parental/sibling relationship? I checked his birth certificate, and it doesn't include names of the parents
Thank you in advance!
