Received my test invite today. Test period Aug 27-Sept 16.
Not in Canada right now, so hoping they will accept my request to do it from here in US.

Goodluck all!
Its open for all. they would simply say yes. nothing to worry. prepare by that time and you would get the response in few days,
dont send multiple emails as they are slow in replying sometimes. You have enough time anyway.

Do you know if that has an impact on the time to process your application ? if we pass the test outside and we stay outside of Canada after that ? I mean i passed the test outside Canada and they asked me To send them a proof of return when i return, does that mean that nothing will happen until i return ?

You are over thinking on it. No effect as they are officially allowing it.
If you changed the address to foreign country or informed them that you are leaving for few months etc then they will(might might) put the file on hold. So in that case you need to inform them whenever you return.
Or else local office just send you invite which you can just attend the test and come back after months when your file is oath ready.

Hi All,
Weirdly, I got a request to submit my US PCC even though I stayed less than 183 days in US. But when I check my status is shows Background check completed.
I still see Physical Presence check in progress.
Not sure what is happening here
Anybody in a similar boat?

May be some officers are particular about it even though no trace from background check. Nowadays i think its fast to get fbi pcc hence its less headache nowadays on it as it comes within days unlike months earlier.
In one way its good because officer is working to close to file rather than not asking anything.

In reality, they should be asking for all countries we visited for the last 10 years something like that, irrelevant of days. Number of days should not be a factor to determine if one committed crime or not.

Hi All,

I am thinking of applying for GCMS notes. Would kindly let me know how to do it. I haven't really heard anything regarding my application. The last update is background check completed on January 25, 2021. I was also wondering if applying for GCMS will negatively affect my application.

Thanks to those who could share their insights.

You can submit the request using this link https://atip-aiprp.apps.gc.ca/atip/welcome.do
I personally don't think it negatively impacts the application but other folks might have a different opinion.

Need a bit of advise from you guys...

I've been going through the Discover Canada guide a few times and I've been so far successful in cracking all the online tests with about 90% in most of them. I'm able to do even the most difficult tests.

What do you suggest in terms of preparation before the test?

I plan to go through the notes in our sticky thread to prepare just before I give my test.
Have been extensively revising and going through Discover Canada & QnA videos on YouTube & practice tests online for the past week or so, but I still feel "low on confidence". Coz out of 20 questions in prep tests, I feel bad even if I get one wrong, feels like I haven't prepared enough (feels like what if all 20 in the main test are as bad as the 1 I got wrong?!? then I'd flunk for sure....) Plus, getting the invite after 1.5 years makes me feel I really have to get this right - performance anxiety.

Any advise for me?

Also, in general what is the difficulty level of the online main exam?

The difficulty of the main exam is low to moderate. I was able to answer 18 questions without even thinking about it and the 2 questions I got wrong were the ones that I never encountered in any of the practice tests I took. So, the test isn't very hard and if you've done some reading and took a few practice tests, you'll easily pass.

Wish you all the best!
