I must say though, the time for despair was March 2021, or even June, but not now. POF update was shit and it didn't mean anything. But, steady drop (6k->4.5k->3k) in CEC means a whole lot. Why drop when it's almost guaranteed you're gonna fuck up your targets again next year? I'm so relieved to see where CEC invites came. I don't even care about fsw anymore, I track cec.

Quite honestly, the steady decline in CEC invites gives me more Hopium than any other previous indicator. Why would they reduce ITAs from their ‘very beloved stream’?. If they want to meet next year’s target with CEC just like this year’s they should be sending steady 6K invites till December. Well, let’s see what 4th quarter’s got for us

Just received GCMS notes (2nd ordered, first on Feb 2021 and now July 2021).
They extended my medicals last month, were supposed to expire in a week from today, but last month they were extended for 11 months.
Based on some documents shared here, I guess I am now group A, were documents have 6+ months of validity.
Hope my application gets processed ASAP once restrictions are lifted, AOR is Sep 2020

Yeah and no man it's not their beloved stream. I won't bother finding it now but an official article on the govt website from a few months ago literally acknowledged the damage done to the immigration system by the inland-only move.

Here's probably what happened; JT lost his marbles and came up with the brilliant idea of locking up the country to win an election (totalitarian motives). JT then called MM and said look dude, borders will be closed for 93845 years till I win the election so do what you need to do and keep that immigration wheel turning till I'm done. MM looked at the situation and said well if I can't take people from outside, what choice do I have? I'll take every candidate that's inside. He knew the risks, he knew the damage, but he just had to.

Looks like they are targeting and processing not only CECs but also TR 2 PR applications as well at a rapid rate. And both of these categories have received huge number of ITAs already. This unfortunately could mean IRCC has little incentive to process backlog (and perhaps also hold all program draw) since immigration quotas would be met for this year and prolly also for some chunk of next year.

I was wondering the same. If this is the case, why don’t they stop all draws altogether? Including cec and pnp

Hey just noticed, congrats on your champion status lol! When this thread gets taken down at some point where do you think you'll land? Newbie or common member like me? Border or election, it doesn't matter anymore because JT's plan failed. The vaccines arrived too late and the world had to reopen. JT couldn't time the election right so he won't get to play the almighty hero that ended covid in Canada. He has no strong arguments other than some vaccine statistics which aren't that impressive tbh compared to "look man I ended covid in Canada while the whole world is burning". FSW has nothing to do with elections.

The government is planning to cancel all FSW apps from April 2020 on Sept 7th unless they increase their POF to 35,000 CAD. So we've been discussing that. Have you updated yours yet? <-- JOKE

I agree that the elections were wrongly timed. Some days ago i said that he would have won a majority if this elections held somewhere around early July

Absolutely. His plan was probably around july- aug at the latest. Get the vax going, "end" (lmao you can't end) covid over summer, win the majority before sept, open borders in sept. But nope it didn't work.
