Are you comparing the difficulty of getting a US green card to getting a Canadian PR?
Yes! If you are not from China or India, it looks easier for now.Are you comparing the difficulty of getting a US green card to getting a Canadian PR?

I won't bother to look at my GC status but in this case, I am checking my PR status every 1 hourAre you comparing the difficulty of getting a US green card to getting a Canadian PR?
It wasn’t until nowQuebec holds biggest Arrima draw of the year

I don’t know whether it was mentioned in the forum or not
Yes! I’m kinda optimistic about the 4th quarter of this year.PPR will rain in due time. ITA will come when the time comes.
it seems promising. I'm not familiar with the arrima system at all, but it was the biggest draw of the year.It wasn’t until now
https://myimmitracker.com/ca/trackers/consolidated-e-apr-tracker-express-entry-permanent-residency-application/cases/case-102708Oh god! Any idea if any EE FSW recently got a PPR request? The wait is effin endless.
I disagree on the vast lands part, while Canada is the 2nd largest country in the world, real estate pricing is greatly dependent on the location of the home. This implies that the price of the land where the house is built, effectively cost more than the price of the house itself. This in turn makes mass construction of houses effectively meaningless, if the price of the land alone is already out of reach of the buyer's budget. The one in Canada is a spectacular one. You get a small little shithole of a single room in a small little shithole of an apartment in Canada. And this was in 2019; no pandemic, regular economy. It's not like citizens are just waking up to this reality, nor do they track draws or immigration news. Citizens have always been aware of the housing crisis. I never understood why they keep voting for parties who don't even promise mass construction of new houses and apartments. They have vast lands for that.
Hell yeah! Not that I am any closer to GC than to a PR at this point, I can't even get my H1B stamped for more than a year, but I posted a few days ago that a few folks I know who are not from China or India got their GCs approved while their FSW PR applications are still pending - or already withdrawn because there's no use of them anymore.Apparently, we thought getting a Green Card in US is tougher than getting PR in Canada. Someone rightly said "Hope is a dangerous thing!"
But we know spousal sponsorship applications are getting approved.A lot of persons have been getting PPR from Acra VO. But the pattern shows it’s people who are to reunite with their spouses. Not everyone posts here.

what is going to happen on sep 7? do you expect when border is open, PPR will rain?September 7th taking forever to reach. Have faith guys we will get ppr soon.

Anything can happen. Travel restriction may either end or be extended. THere are lots of expired COPR holders. There are also lots of approved applications with no PPRs yet issued. There are also lots of applications awaiting eligibility, security, medicals...If the will is there they can be cleared within a few weeks but the CEC pool is kind of endless and it looks like they've got no need for the FSW stream to meet their targets in my opinion. By the way any idea why the last two draws saw only 3000 invites ?what is going to happen on sep 7? do you expect when border is open, PPR will rain?
Lmaooo. Carmen, Carmen. But we know spousal sponsorship applications are getting approved.
The people gathered here are for outlanders specifically FSW.
We are waiting for draws and until then, cheap analysis is all we have to keep body and soul together.
I think that's their normal invitation. Previously they were greedy for CEC, now they had enough CEC. So perhaps the draw will completely stop, including CEC in Q4 this year? Any possibility?Anything can happen. Travel restriction may either end or be extended. THere are lots of expired COPR holders. There are also lots of approved applications with no PPRs yet issued. The pandemic will change things for the better. People in tech sectors can move to the outskirts and work from home. A lot of us have already started doing that. All we need is good wifi.I disagree on the vast lands part, while Canada is the 2nd largest country in the world, real estate pricing is greatly dependent on the location of the home. This implies that the price of the land where the house is built, effectively cost more than the price of the house itself. This in turn makes mass construction of houses effectively meaningless, if the price of the land alone is already out of reach of the buyer's budget.
Take for example Toronto, the price on an average house is around $1M, move a little further to like Richmond Hill and the price go a little lower to around $900K, move to a place like Barrie which is 100+km away from Toronto you'll get prices around $600K. The ameneties/features of the house is consistent regardless where the house was built, but the price changes, why is that? Because the price of the land changes. To truly fix the housing problem what the government needs to do is to entice businesses to spread out to neighboring communities which in turn entices the populace to spread out their housing demand, hence evening out the cost of housing and utilizing most of the land Canada has to offer.
