ARRIVECAN - Purpose of Travel - Visitor Visa

Hi,

My parents are travelling to Canada on visitor visa on compassionate grounds (provide care for Canadian citizen). They received the Authorization letter from PHAC to enter Canada. Below are the 2 options in ARRIVECAN app for "Purpose of Travel". Should they select NO to both?

1) performance of essential services
2) medical support services

Their arrival date is on 21st Aug. Thanks in advance.

Medical support services. Assume your OB has already informed you that your parents should quarantine away from you for 10-14 days even if vaccinated because as a pregnant woman you are at high risk of serious outcomes with covid even if you are vaccinated. You also have contact with the healthcare system and want to keep the medical system and other pregnant patients safe. International travellers have very little control over their environment and the vaccinated can still get covid and give it to others.

Do we still need Authorization Letter for parents to visit us (tourist visa)? I cant find it in CIC site. It just says to provide my PR card and proof of relationship like birth certificate.

Parents of PR or citizens never needed special authorization.
