I have to go back home for urgency , i can travel without pr card? Are our copr have expiry or not? I am so confused.

Hii Guys, I did not receive my Pr Card yet. Approved and mailed on August 2, 2021. I saw many people approved on August 2,2021 already received their PR Cards. Is their anybody in a same boat?some people received their PR card in 2 days after approval. It means that mail hardly take 2 days to post PR card from Nova scotia. Then why I did not receive it? Its a 15th day today without PR card. I Called IRCC yesterday. Case was closed already. Please suggest me something. Your views will be appreciated

You can leave Canada anytime without PR card. You must obtain the PRTD in your home country in order to return back to Canada. A COPR letter is not travel document. Once you become PR it is only possible to enter Canada with PR card or with PRTD obtained in VAC outside of Canada. Any old visas or work permits are not valid since you became PR.
COPR letter is Ok for 1 year. Please read what is written there. In my COPR letter it is written that I can use it as a proof or PR status inside Canada for 1 year and after a year I must have PR card. Please just read what is written in your letter.

Good morning all
Guess I’m in for a long wait for my PR card. Just called and the agent says there was an error in card production, although my photo was accepted.

Does anyone have an idea of what the error could be? Is anyone experiencing the same issue??

Hello all…. Finally after 2 months and 15 days(today makes it 5 years I got to Canada), my PR card is approved and mailed. I didn’t get an email for it but my CIC account was updated this morning with the approval.
COPR: June 3
June 24- got a GU, went silent since then
Called sometime in July and agent said there was an error in Production but does not require my attention - will be sorted from their end
Called last week, another agent said it has been approved on Aug 9- I got the approval this morning. This forum has been really helpful to me. Y’ll should enjoy your day…… Stay blessed

Yes so, maybe this week you can get it mailed.

My husband's and child's card got aproved and mailed today morning. No email update. Status changed in cic login. NO update for me .

Your card mailed to you once your permanent residency application in your CIC account approved, I mean shows Approved, right? When I receive my eCOPR on Monday, 2 days ago, my CIC account updated at the same time and started to show Approved. In portal, my photo submission is still in review with IRCC, I am confused, it seems this Approved update in CIC account doesnt work in my case for PR card
