1, Is there any law? During the federal election, citizen processing will be suspended so as not to affect the results of the election.

2, Even if Justin is re-elected, this government will have to be dissolved.
Will the budget of IRCC be affected?

3, Are there any unspoken rules? During the federal election, the IRCC will stop or slow down citizenship processing speed.

4, Does anyone want to vote? After all, this may be our first chance, if we are lucky enough to catch up.

I will vote for sure. I was hoping to vote in 2019 as well (march 2019 applicant) as many ppl who applied with me (different offices) were able to do so.

If Trudeau gets re-elected nothing really bad would happen regarding IRCC / Immigration, however if the Conservatives win there could be
a big reset on immigration to con standards and all applications in process will have to be returned. Unless they are truly positive about immigration as they claim to be, then they won't touch it.

In Process applications will not be returned. The new government can make changes to the immigration policy and put in a new date for it to be effective.

Well I am glad I am wrong about that one ^^ I just have this anxiety and stress with the federal election that things can go wrong with immigration, especially when my application is in process right now.

Does in process application also include the ones submitted but AOR not yet received?

With the elections coming. Does it mean that the local offices will stop processing citizenship applications (put on pause) till after elections are over?

Yes. There can't be a retro policy. A new government might have a new policy but it will have a future effective date.
For now just relax and apply for citizenship as per policy mentioned on cic.

Highly unlikely anything will change. There is no immediate focus on immigration this election, and more tightly controlling immigration is not a part of the conservative platform this time.
