spouse inland sponsorship vs outland sponsorship

Hello all,

Can you guys throw in some details regarding the differences between inland sponsorship vs outland sponsorship. I am a PR and I am planning to bring my fiance via family sponsorship. I am aware that I can find this information on google but thought get some information from people who did both and found one more helpful than the other.

These are the basics.

Inland:
- Both of you need to be physically in Canada to apply and you must continue living in Canada together while the application is processed
- Your spouse will qualify for an open work permit and will be able to submit the OWP application along with the spousal sponsorship application. (although these are taking 8+ months to issue these days)

Outland:
- You must be living in Canada in order to qualify to sponsor
- Your spouse can be inside or outside of Canada.
- No OWP
