Yeah and I guess things like vaccine passports maybe a thing going forward. Moreover, I believe once there are full approvals given for covid vaccines (which is about to happen soon enough for some of them), there could be more people getting vaccinated.
I have received mine last week :) I live in Ireland

CompSci&IT should have gone remote in 2010 BUT suits never liked that idea... till a major pandemic hit. Now they have seen it actually works and may be cost effective so a lot of talking heads in stupid companies like McKinsey & Co or Bain etc are making 10 slides presentation with 4 quadrants on how remote working can be a "strategic transformation" in "fundamental business processes". Fuck Harvard, Fuck its MBAs and Fuck McKinsey & Co.

Alberta to backtrack on plans to lift COVID-19 restrictions, government source says

Alberta is rolling back on plans to end mandatory isolation for those who test positive for COVID-19, a government source told CBC News, as cases in the province hit their highest level since late May.

The province was due to end most COVID-19 restrictions on Aug. 16, including requirements to wear masks on public transit and in schools as well as strict protocols around testing and contact tracing. But the province's current health guidelines will remain in place for now, the source said.

Plans to move COVID-19 testing from provincial assessment centres to physicians' clinics as of Aug. 31 are still on track, the source said.

Alberta public health officials reported 550 net new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday, the second day in a row that the daily case count surpassed the 500 mark.

Dr. Deena Hinshaw, Alberta's chief medical officer of health, is expected to announce the latest changes to plans during a news conference on Friday, according to the source.

Here is a more recent one from the same VO:

IRCC Logic-
IRCC: "Only people with valid COPR can travel. You cannot travel because you don't have a COPR."
Applicant: "Okay then finalize my application and give me COPR."
IRCC: "No, we cannot finalize applications since there are travel restrictions."
Applicant: "But these travel restrictions won't apply to me if you give me COPR"
IRCC: "Nah"
Applicant: "But.."
IRCC: "Travel restrictions, no COPR. Bye."

I noticed that even among unvaccinated people, the death rate is much lower than peak pandemic death rates we experienced last year. Although the delta variant seems more transmissible I feel it’s less virulent (ability to cause severe illness/death). In line with the theory that most viruses mutate to weaker forms. They need to keep the vaccination rates up though, the virus will keep getting weaker. End of Pandemic is in sight. We move

The natural evolution of a virus ends in increased contagiousness and reduced virulence. These "variants" act funny. Also no other pandemic in history required mass vaccination to come to an end.

"Variants". lmao yea sure
