January 2020 - citizenship application

Hello Everyone,

I got an weird update on my tracker today. In the application history there is a new update on Aug 6th that I am scheduled to attend an interview with an offical on Aug 6 itself. I do check my application daily in morning and on Aug 6th there was no such update. On top right Updated date is Aug 9. Anybody faced similar issue ?

My office is Vancouver.

This could be because of a glitch that was going around about a month ago. People randomly got scheduled for an interview with no email and ridiculous dates (same day interview).

So, I guess you can rest easy because this is most likely a glitch.

I just had a call with IRCC after trying 10 times and they mentioned they don’t see anything on my account related to the Interview. The last update they see on my account is for Citizenship Test completed in the system. They were not able to see the interview update at all on there side.

My citizenship test status still shows In progress but looks like they removed that last update where they asked to complete the test on Aug 30th

Is your Application History still shows the update where they invited you for test or they have removed that as well ? For me the update to do an Interview only showed up in the Application History section not at the top of the tracker where it usually says “New Update” “Waiting on you”

Yes the history is still there but before it said waiting on you for citizenship test which is now removed

That makes sense now. One another person mentioned the same on Facebook group that the message they were citizenship test is now gone. I think it happened with me as well as they removed the Interview update even before I checked the tracker this morning.

Just checked my status and some of them reverted back to in progress from completed, my test was completed last month and few days later everything changed to completed except the ceremony. Now my background verification and test are still showing completed. anyone else encourtered same issue?

Dont worry. Many of us faced and its a glitch.

Sorry I am bugging you guys again. Today morning I got an email from IRCC asking about Scanned copies of Passport. So these things are coming to my mind.

- All passports.

- Work Permit Document

- COPR

- PR Card

Can someone confirm if I am missing anything?

Scanned copies of passport = Scanned copies of passport. No COPR or PR card or Work Permit.

Submit all pages of all passports that were valid in the 5 year eligibility period. If a stamp / visa is not in English or French, then you'll have to get those translated and submit the translations as well.

Only send scanned copy of passport. Make sure scan each page even its empty. Very very important.... change the file name to Application nmbr and your last name and also subject of the email change to same. Read your letter where they have mentioned format. I made this mistake and just replied to email and attached my passport and after one month, they sent me final notice to provide it as per required format. Only those all passports which u have used in 5 years elegibilty period

Has any one who got asked for passport scans know how long it takes before you hear back from cic? Iv been 4 weeks nearly.....
