Hi Friends,
I applied for my minor son's citizenship through paper application in May 2021 while I applied separately online in Jun 2021 and my wife also applied separately online in May 2021. I and my wife haven't received our AOR yet. My son's application was returned stating that it didn't have atleast one parent's citizenship proof or proof of citizenship being applied. As per the rules that I checked now, it says that either one parent needs to be a citizen or for a minor application needs to be submitted along with atleast one parent as a family application. So can you please suggest which of the following option I should choose now: (We prefer option 1 below but will need some expert advice to confirm)
1. Submit paper application of citizenship for all 3 of us. Share the payment receipt of online application for my wife and I in the paper application and ask our Online application to be ignored. For my son, they mentioned that since they are returning his application so they will refund the application fee. We haven't got the refund yet. But assuming we will get the refund, pay my son's fee again and attach the receipt to my Son's paper application as part of the family application.
2. Withdraw the online application for my wife and I. Will we get the full refund since we haven't got AOR? Then submit new family paper application for all 3 of us. In this case should we wait for our application to be approved for withdrawal and wait for our refund of fee before applying?
3. Submit my Son's application again in paper form with new fee receipt and attach my wife's and my online submission confirmation email copy from IRCC.
We have raised Web form but are yet to get a response. Also not able to reach the call center to talk to a rep.
Thanks
