It'd be cool if IRCC started FSW in August and had two biweekly draws in August to clear out the CRS480+ candidates. It'd help folks a lot in September with a fresh start at 475+ cutoff in September.

I keep my expectations low for August, even for September. I got crushed bad on July 21 because all the "indicators" had gotten my hopes up too much, not falling for that again haha. What I learned from July 21 is there will never be any indicators, and that we can only try to track IRCC's numbers game.

Oh and I'm definitely not watching Mark Holthe ever again haha.

Same lol. We would just be extremely lucky if we get an open draw in August, even though alot of expectations surround August 4. In my opinion it it doesn’t happen first week of August it would most likely happen in September

Yeah I think the same. It's a good thing though, we'll wait for another 4-5 days then if no draw on August 4, we can save ourselves the worry for an entire month haha. Well I'd still get a bit nervous keeping track of the CEC ITA counts. If they go back up to 6000... I think that's very unlikely because there's no point since they won't go into 2021 quota. But you never know

True; since most experienced immigration consultants and Lawyers are mostly saying September. Let’s see how things unfold anyway

Lol. When did you enter the pool? What’s your CRS?
481; I entered at the end of Aug 2020. That's why an Aug draw would help me a lot otherwise I'll start Sept off with a new profile and get murdered in every tie-breaking situation haha.

Hahaha 481 is high enough to not get adversely impacted by a tie-break situation. You are good to go

Pretty sure your score was alot lower when you joined the pool in August last year; I’m surprised you haven’t gotten an invite since then. My guess is that you only had 2 years foreign work experience then…?

The main indicator of the July 21 expected open draw was the POF update which to me is still a valid logical standpoint until proven wrong or right in August 4/5.
Look at it from this perspective: July 15 was the deadline to update profiles. Many profiles who didn’t meet up became ineligible after one week (July 21-24). IRCC gave another one week for ineligible profiles to get back into the pool then BOOM! An all program draw first week of August :D

This is why August 4 is still a possibility although my expectations are not that much.

Maybe. I don't think IRCC would care so much about the eligibility of FSW profiles though. There are many profiles and after they started the draws, people would go back and update their profiles immediately to hurry back into the pool. So, while initially the POF update seemed like a clear sign to me just like everybody else, if you look at it from this perspective the POF update really could be meaningless.
