Spouse of Caregiver Work Permit holder

Hi everyone,
My nanny is on work permit under caregiver LMIA. Her husband was a visitor visa holder. Does her husband need to change his status in order to receive provincial health care?

Thank you for the reply. No my nanny hasn't applied for PR yet. Her immigration agent told her that if they apply the visitor record for her husband, then he would get enrolled with provincial health care with his wife. He just can't work. Is this information correct?

What province? Visitor record is only extended visitor visa, so not sure what agent is talking about.

Here are the requirements for MSP. It states "Tourists or visitors to B.C. do not qualify."

Since u employ the nanny the spouse is eligible for open work permit as he’s her dependent.

Nanny on LMIA is skill C category. Depends can’t qualify for open work permit dude.
