I don't mind. We are in the pool since April this year so not as long. I know that either way we will find the way to move there as out occupations are in demand, specially my girlfriend occupation. We are hopping to get an ITA through Express Entry as it is the fastest. We are still in a good age bracket so I can wait patiently for it. However it would be nice to be able to move there sooner. We will see what will happen. This pandemic cause a lot of disruptions and we are still not near at end of it. Things will start improving slowly and we can see this however we have to be patient. There is a lot of politics etc. Government is playing safe by keeping teh pandemic far away from Canada which I understand and I am happy for them.
You had a golden chance in yesterday's OINP draw but you blew it.

I know a lot of ITA & PPR/COPR hopefuls believe there’s a ridiculous amount of backlog but I don’t think it’s as bad as we think.
I know people who submitted in October 2019 and landed in Canada in a middle of a pandemic, then there’s the batch that “disappeared” towards the end of last year when travel was somewhat allowed.
In addition , there wasn’t any FSW draw for a couple of months.
Things will get back to normal only concern is when but one thing is certain - ITA /PPRs will come through soon.

One funny suggestion: Rewrite IELTS and aim for a CLB 8 or 9 haha
Yea, Even with the previous score it was like 471 I think. So I just improved that by little bit but I do not have any intentions to play with the score and make it lower. I do not want to scrap our chance. I really believe that FSW will happen soon. Hopefully :)

You are correct; pending FSW files from last year isn’t more than 25,000 (far less than the number of immigrants they need to welcome every month from July to meet this year’s target). I’m completely clueless why they have almost paused movement of these skilled and highly experienced immigrants.
One thing the immigration target includes the dependent PR of a profile. When the FSW profile is around 25000 invited last year, the total PR will be around 55000 for those FSW profiles invited. (Based on stats 2.2 members per profile on an average)..

Are you sure about this? I was made to understand that the quota only involves primary applicants

Either way we have to remember that there’s an average 30%-33% decline/rejection rate of invitations

Listening requires a lot of luck, if your test has long sentences as options for multiple choice questions, then good luck getting above 7.
Hahaha; this was a challenge when i started practicing ; but along the way i found the right strategy that worked for me; even before the real test i was sure of a 9 because i was getting many consecutive 9s while practicing lol

I was getting 7 or 7.5 during practice, got fed up and decided to give a test to see how much I can score on the real one, fortunately got an easy listening test.

I was always far ahead of the recordings; and Paper-based was the trick for me, always made sure I underlined key words in questions and options. That did it for me everytime
