2nd GU means that the background check (criminality and security) has been passed. I can see the date my BG passed on the same date I got 2nd GU.

I also received second update on friday but when I called this morning, agent said only criminality is passed and security has not started

I finally talked to an agent. She said everything is passed: Eligibility, Criminality and Info Sharing but Security. She said Security is not started. I dont know how long will it take, it supposed to be not that long after 2nd GU but we will see

Called today to see if there is any update for my wife's PPR. They said it is transferred to RROC

Called IRCC today , the agent said everything looks good , the file is still getting processed at RROC Ottawa and did not tell if background check is already complete or not , he said final decision will be made within 6 months . AOR 9 April
