Time will show - just remember guys that last year when FSW resumed there was only one draw in July and one in August. From September FSW has resumed on a nirmal schedule so we still have to wait and see what will happen.

Hopefully FSW will resume by end of Aug OR beginning of Sept.

FSW
It’s unfortunate that we lost the original FSW Worldwide thread due to some unfortunate cascade of events. I had a special preference for that page. First thing I checked up most mornings. Most of us invested time and resources to make that page lively, informative, positive and fun. I was almost becoming a champion member due to the insane amount of reactions i was getting in most of my posts (thanks to the lovely members that watched that thread). But it’s sad the way things turned out.

TBH, when this happened I just lost interest in the forum as a whole; hence left for a couple of days. It’s hard to devote same level of efforts in a new page when you are unsure of it’s fate ultimately. However, despite everything, I’ve decided i should return to the forum and try to steer the positive vibes that I and some others are known for in this space. I do solemnly hope that this page lives up to its expectations, free from extreme negativity and bad vibes.

Cheers!!!

Ohhh wow this is quiet intresting to see Alberta PNP drawing for PNP Outland :)

I have same opinion as you. We should not cry in this topic and do not show frustration. It is hard for a lot of people however we should be positive about new things that are coming. I think all of us will be surprised in the next coming month.

1. Got deleted, due to err.. certain disagreements.
2. There. There. (* sorry that's all I got for you on this one *)
3. From an FSW perspective, it kind of is, but 2021 did bring about some economic growth, we have vaccines now, and borders for tourism is starting to open again. So it's kind of a bit better than 2020 from an overall standpoint.
4. I think it simply stems from the fact that we don't really have any information to go on with, IRCC not saying anything much and all. And as the saying goes, hope for the best, but expect for the worse. While I'm one of the hopeful, I must admit I'm starting to look at other offerings at other countries like the US, though I still struggle to find one as viable as the one I have now.
1. What kinda of disagreements?

2. hahaha

3. Yes I was speaking in terms of FSW draws.

4. I really do wish there were other avenues than just going with Canada. It's not my preferred destination but its the only place that used to invite expats relatively easily. I would love to move to somewhere in EU but that has its own host of issues.

why did you decline your ITA? were you afraid of being rejected for not having completed 3 years of work experience? this is exactly why the fear mongering here is so dangerous, and why it’s a really bad idea to take anecdotes from people here seriously. I also received my ITA with 35 months of work experience and submitted my AOR 1 week short of 36 months, and i still passed my eligibility checks. I’ve tried telling people that it’s fine to do that, but the misinformation has already been spread.
Yep. Due to the info from other members talking about how the officers might reject the application as the experience months weren't fully accrued at the time of ITA. Like I said, it seemed like FSW draws were here to stay and no indication that there might be any slow down or stoppage of draws in the upcoming weeks so I was confident that I'll get the ITA in Jan itself. Little did I know IRCC had other plans. If there was any indication or a pattern of erratic draws prior to my ITA, I don't think I would've rejected it. At that time everything was back in full swing! :/

Pretty sure the traditional FSWs will be back. It's only a matter of time. Until then, let's have some fun. Let's make a prediction about when the next draw will happen. Whoever makes the right prediction will be the MVP of this thread. There can be joint MVPs.

My prediction is, IRCC will start issuing PPRs to FSW-Os towards the end of August. The first draw will happen on 8 December.

Why r all these ppl still even considering moving to Canada even with the reprehensible, cruel treatment of PR applicants over the last couple yrs... It's exposed the deep condescension and ethnocentrism of the Canadians and their government and how on earth can one expect to be treated with respect and dignity if and once in Canada?! Also, since they just want toilet cleaners and restaurant waiters, why even bother requiring advanced degrees and writing abilities much higher than that of an avg Canada born? It's all one big Canadian scam to humiliate, debase and exploit the world's naive and desperate!
Most people choose Canada as it's one of the easiest (first world) countries to immigrate to without spending a lot of money. Probably the only country where the immigration pathway is so simple and quick. It's true that the immigration journey has been rough for many people in the last couple of years and Canada deserves all the blame for it. However, saying all that you said is a bit over the top reaction. I can relate to your sentiments but I feel that people wouldn't be so angry if the focus wasn't too much on Canada. I'm focusing on other aspects of my life and honestly, if I don't go to Canada, I'm cool with it. It's not the end of the world.

The only reason I'd wanna move to Canada is it will make it easier for me to travel the world with a Canadian passport. That is my dream.
The more you give importance to the Canadian dream, the more anxious it will make you as the future is uncertain.
