Hi Paul,The first thing your need to check what type of visa she has. Regular Visa (good for 6 months or until the date notes by the CBSA officer on the arrival stamp) or SuperVisa (good for 2 years or until the date notes by the CBSA officer on the arrival stamp).
Now to answer your question, if you applied for Extenssion before the expiration of valid status, you are good.
Application withdrawn
If the extension application is withdrawn, on the date the withdrawal is registered, there is no longer a pending application for an extension. Therefore, the period of authorized stay ends on that date.

Thank you for taking time to respond to my query. I just wanted to clarify one thing:
My mom is on Regular multiple entry visa valid till 2026. I have applied for extension of stay in Canada 1 month before she completed 6 months of entering Canada.
So, if I withdraw the extension application after she leaves Canada, it will not be a problem when she re-enters Canada as per the link you shared right?
Would she violate the below condition if I withdraw the extension? as she has spent almost 8 months in Canada.
Her authorized stay of 6 months ended on May 30, 2021. She is leaving end of July.
General conditions
- 183 (1) Subject to section 185, the following conditions are imposed on all temporary residents:
- (a) to leave Canada by the end of the period authorized for their stay;
Appreciate your inputs. Thanks!
