When did you created your cic account? I'm on my account right now and i can see the "add (link) your application to your account" at the bottom of the page. Try to open your account on your cellphone as i have encountered problems like that before when using computer to log in.

Hi, thanks a lot for your help earlier. I managed to find the link.

I think the issue was with the cookies, I had to clear the cookies on my browser, and then everything worked.

I have not received a formal email for AOR. I was just checking ECA every now and then, and one day realized that the application showed up.

I think that seems to be the case for most people. I guess if someone received a formal email for AOR could advise here.

Ok, but how are others linking the files in GC key - just based on Ecas ?

Good morning, ECAS is now working for my parents file. File received Feb 19 2021, new family form requested Mar 9 2021.

Today, I am able to link my application successfully on GC KEY.

Hi!

I just followed these steps posted by one of the member here:

• If you’re applying for family sponsorship, in the last question, “Number of family members, including the primary applicant, that are part of this application”, also include the sponsor and the co-signer (if applicable). The number entered will be at least 2.

I was earlier entering 2 (parents) so was not able to link. Now I entered 3 and it worked. Please note, My spouse is already in Canada but not a co-signer on the application. So in my case I entered 3 (myself + parents).

When the primary applicant logs into IRCC secure account (if you haven't created it, please do so), on the home page, there's a section 'View the applications you submitted'. In that section, there's one link 'Add (link) your application to your account'.

After clicking on the link, once you select the category and sub-category, in the Application Details, there are four options. Three of the options have either UCI or Application Number in it but one of the options is 'Family Name, Given Name & Date of Birth'. I used that.

Please advise if I have to put the total number of family members including my kids or only me as a sponsor, co-signer and parents?

Hi everyone,
I have applied for my parents as well as my grandmother. I could log in to ECAS using sponsor UCI # and it only showed my grandmother application has been received on Feb 25th. Although I had mailed both applications in one package.
Just wondering if it means I should get AOR email soon? and also would anyone know if parents and grandparents applications are processed independently and that's why my parents application does not show up in ECAS yet?

Hello everyone, my ECAS doesn't even recognize my information, do I have to wait until I receive my AOR? I submitted the application on 23rd Feb'21 and as per the courier service the application was received on 25th Feb'21, I didn't hear anything ever since then. Is there anyone else who is in the same situation as me?

I have an update for people with parents in Canada on a Super Visa especially if their 2 years are expiring soon and they want to apply or have already applied for an extension -

So as some of you may already know on this thread, my parents’ 2 years were up in May 2021 so we applied for a visitor extension (visitor record) in late March 2021. This was mainly because we wanted to avoid non-essential international travel, confirm acquisition of two doses and the fact that a PGP2020 PR application was now in progress too.

Today, we received online confirmation that the application was approved and an extension was granted until late March 2022 (exactly one year from application date).

I’ll be honest, we were hoping that an extension is granted for one year from the date of approval (July 2021 to July 2022) but one year from the date of application sounds fair too (March 2021 to March 2022) since my parents kinda got to continue staying here in Canada on an implied status without having to go back.

Also, the processing time for a visitor record as of today is close to 5 months. We were surprised to get our approval today after just under 4 months since applying. Hoping they start moving ahead faster with all of our PGP applications too! Cheers!
