I got Security clearance certificate from Pakistan on 21 June 2020, which is far expired now on its 6 month validity. Do I need to retake it before travelling to Canada ?

Don't think so. Just take all the documents that you applied with and keep hard copies of each one.

If its expired on the time u go u ll have to renew it as it's only valid for 6 months in Pakistan.

I think this would be applicable only within Pakistan and what really matters to the border officers are the documents that you originally applied with. For example, I had a one-month validity document which was already "expired" by the time my application started to be processed and things were fine. However, you can always get a new PC if you want to be extra safe, although I still don't think it's so necessary.
