Can I apply for PR sponsorship when I already have a TRV application in progress?

Hi,

I searched answer for this question in the forum, but couldn't find any. Here's the issue, I have already applied for TRV for my wife on December 2020 and still have no answer and is still in progress. We are tired of this and decided to go PR sponsorship and in the process of collecting documents. Our worry is

1. Will our PR application be rejected since we already have TRV in process or is it not a problem?
2. If it will be rejected, after applying for withdrawal of TRV, should we wait till we get confirmation that the application is withdrawn which I have heard that will be done only when the application is open and can take months? Or can we apply straight away just after requesting withdrawal and add a letter to the PR application that we have submitted for withdrawal?

Thanks in Advance. Any suggestion will be helpful. We are trying to eliminate any chance of rejection as the process can already from six months upto a year.

So in this case, do I need to answer yes to Question 6 to the Sponsor eligibility questionnaire in IMM1344e? The question is "Have you submitted a previous application in respect of a final decision has not been made for the person being sponsored and their family members?" I submitted a TRV for my spouse which is already in processing. Do I answer "Yes" to this question as the previous application is a TRV or do I answer "No". I'm thinking they're asking if there is a previous Sponsorship application in progress
