Do they ever actually contact employers to verify employment history? I've worked for my employer for 4 years, but since it's a small, fast-growing company I have had my job title changed numerous times (job duties remained the same) and honestly don't know at this point what my employer has on record for me. If they ever inquire, I can have a letter of employment signed by my employer that matches my application but if they ask my employer directly, there may be discrepancies.

1- 4d, if the minor has no other name(s) should I leave the table blank or put: N/A. I read the guide, in the adult guide, CIC, asks to do not to write anything if no applicable to the applicant, but in minor guide I did not see any clear instruction.

2- 7b, if parent has no other name(s), what to write in this section? N/A or leave it blank

3- 8b, has minor been ouside of Canada for total of 730 days or more in the past 5 years OR since becoming a PR: My son was not outside Canada for total of 730 days in the past 5 years BUT he was outside Canada for total of 730 SINCE becoming PR. which one is applied to me? Yes OR No?

Very unlikely for citizenship applications. They simply want to know what you were doing. Employment verification is not a part of the process - At least not a part that is generally done.

I've not filled a minor application so not sure. In this field, I think you can simply put a dash in the columns in the first row.

I believe that address is for regular mail ( Canada post ) . The other address which is 49 Dorchester street is for courier ( UPS, FedEx, etc) . The reason there are two addresses is because courier mail services cannot deliver to a PO Box .

I thought Canada Post can send either of them (Regular mail and courier).
It is enroute now, do you think they will accept it? or it is strictly for FedEx/UPS only?

AFAIK, any courier service can deliver to the address that you sent your application to.

8(b) in the minor's form. I think you are looking at the adult application form.

Hi Everyone,

Hope you're all doing well! I need some advice on point 11 about the employment history for the last 5 years.

Before the pandemic, I worked full-time for a company as an independent contractor doing marketing and events until March 2020. Since March 2020, I have been relying on CERB and CRB as my main (read only) source of income. I was working on music as I am a music producer and overall only had around 3 low-paid gigs since then - I applied for grants (that I didn't get) and residencies about which I'm yet to hear about plus made a lot of new music.

My first question is, should I say I was self-employed between April 2020 (and just didn't make much money) and until know or should I say I was unemployed? Technically, I was doing the work related to my artistry but I barely made anything from it.

My second question is: if I did work for multiple clients as self-employed, in the field 'Name of Employer/ Educational Institutions Attended' - do I write all of the clients/companies I worked for divided by a coma, or do I just write my name?

Would love your advice on this!

As far as this question is concerned, IMO, IRCC is looking for a period that is recent. The question is designed for minors that became a PR before and within the last 5 years.

No, I am doing it on my own, the problem is that I didn’t get a definite answer to this question (8b), I need to know for sure, as someone submitted a form saying NO, but he told me that he is not sure. the other guy sent it too, but with YES, and is waiting for the file number. I try to do it right the first time.
