Your case is completely different than mine. A PR can be a good tie if you have family in that country, homes, business etc. I don’t know about your profile completely but if you guys have PR in Spain and no ties to India then applying from India is a very wrong move for you. In my case, I don’t have any status (other than dependent on my spouse’s work permit) and I visit my home frequently and I’m just here temporarily with my home and all my records from birth until employment in my home country India. Hence I need to emphasize my tie only to that place. Your case is different. You have permanent resident, infact applying from India if you have no tie to that place might actually work against you. You have your family in Spain, you should definitely show ties to it, in my case I don’t have any tie to KSA at all. Please do your own research because we all just give each other suggestions and I take influence from cases exactly similar to mine. Its not a visa...... and it comes under Permanent residence when we fill any kind of form... when we come from India directly as PR on the basis of family, first we get a card of 3 years and we have to renew it after 3 years and later with second of 5, after 5 years I have to renew it...,y family has PR with a renewal period of 5 years until completing 10 years to get a passport...coz everyone has to renew it by giving the biometrics after 5 years
