My scenario is a little different from most.
I am a refugee in Canada but with pending hearing. I got approved for PR through the pathway for healthcare care workers. Do I have to wait for confirmation of PR before I can apply for my dependent son? I have been in Canada for 5 years now

I am not familiar with the pathway for healthcare workers. But shouldn't you include all your dependents in your PR application?

If you had and have put your son as non-accomodating, then you need to land (with COPR) first and then apply to sponsor your son.

Hi,

My wife and I are both Canadian Permanent Residents,

Long story short, our baby was born in USA as my wife was in USA and couldn't travel back to Canada and went into labor there.

Can some one guide me what is the process to sponsor our baby so that the baby can come back to Canada with the mother. What documents would I need for the baby?

The baby is only few days old.

I am assuming that the first step would be to obtain the baby's birth certificate and get the passport made?

Also, would the baby need to undergo medical and biometric?

I would really appreciate your guidance.

Thanks,

Well you are right about obtaining US passport for your newborn so that your child can travel to Canada. Once in Canada, you can then apply for inland dependent child sponsorship.

Once you apply for inland dependent child sponsorship, your application will be processed and then CIC will ask for medical examination of your newborn. However, there is no biometric requirement for newborns.

How long was your wife out of Canada and when did she land in Canada? She may also need to reapply for CAnadian health insurance if she didn't meet the RO to receive provincial healthcare.

Hello! Just want to know that how long it gonna take for Getting an AOR for sponsoring a dependent Child. Just want an idea. I’ve already sponsored my wife but meanwhile we had a baby. So was planning him to sponsor him as well. Will this give some advantage in case of fast processing?

If your wife's application is still in process, you must add your child to the application immediately.

Hi,

Me and my wife got PR in 2018 and lived for 5 months and moved back to india due to some personal commitments. Now our baby born in India and I am moving back for now as I got a job in Canada. wife will come once our baby TRV will be approved.
Secondly, we still have 2 years of time to satiate RO criteria. Do I need to complete 730 days in Canada before applying TRV for my baby or Can I apply It post landing?

The easier way to look at it is if you have been out of Canada for 1095 days since your landing date, you will need to accumulate the 730.

1095 is five years minus the 730.

If it's not yet 1095 days, one if you should return ASAP.

In your first five years after first landing, you basically get 'credit' for prospective days (as if you will spend all the remaining days in Canada). So rather than thinking of it as must-be-in-Canada-two-in-five to be in Canada, it is slightly easier to calculate that if you have been out of Canada three years (1095 days or five years minus three years), you are out of compliance.

Key points:
-one of the parents can apply to sponsor if one is in compliance.
-you can only apply to sponsor your child when you are physically in Canada.
-Again, given you said you first landed in 2018, one of you should get back to Canada ASAP. As I don't know the month you landed, well, can't say more.
-If you are already both out of compliance, it gets a lot more complicated.

Got it. So basically in our case we landed on 21 feb 2018 and left canada on 4 July 2018. In PR card expiry date is 23 June 2023. I’m landing again on 27 June 2021(alone. So we are good to go to file sponsorship for our baby.
Also need to provide IMM5604 form or only LOE will be fine. To whom we can refer while writing the application and it has to be paper based or can be printed?

How to add it. Do I’ve to sponsor again and I’ll get an another AOR.?
