My passport is expiring next month along with my BOWP status. Monday, 7 June, would be the 18th day waiting for COPR. If I apply to renew my passport now, does anyone know if:
1. I need to send a web form to update IRCC when I submit my new passport application?
2. Will it delay the CoPR even further?

Even if I get the COPR, would I still need to notify IRCC that I have a new passport for my PR card application?

I’m weighing the idea of just getting the new passport now, and, in doing so, complicates the process further, or if I should just wait till I at least have the COPR.

1. In my opinion, you should let them know once you receive the new passport.
2. Not sure.

Who is in charge of your landing? Ottawa? (you can see that in the first email they sent you for the portal. They are taking a lot of time for the CoPR.

I Received my PR card... Below is the timeline

AOR : 26-SEP-2020
PR portal email : 5-May-2021
PR Portal Credentials : 6-May-2021
eCOPR : 7-May-2021
Received Ghost Update on CIC account : 28-May-2021
PR card received : 4-Jun-2021...PR card seem to be printed on 31- May-2021.. i.e 3-days from receiving ghost update.. valid untill 31- May-2026.. 5 years from printed date
VO : Etobicoke, residence in Toronto.

My CIC account status is still ' Submitted' ...only update I received is ghost update on 28-May i.e around 3 weeks from eCoPR
PR Confirmation Portal Status us still ' In Review with IRCC'.. address was accepted on 8-May....and no update further.
Total time from PR Portal email untill PR Card is around 4 weeks.

I also uploaded photos taken from my Phone as per guidelines. Pasted while paper on wall and took photo in Camera by adjusting exposure to get smooth white background and then used ' Passport Photo' app to fit into Canada PR card specification.

All the Best !!!
Congratulations. Quick question please, though the question may sound silly but I’m just curious
When your card was delivered, does it have your name on the envelope used for delivery Cos I read somewhere that IRCC uses unlabelled envelopes for delivery, just curious...... or what was on the envelope??

Yeah, I think I will just apply for a new passport come Monday. Once I receive it, and if I still don’t have the COPR by then, I will just send them a web form.

I’m just kind of in a bit of a predicament as without a new passport, I cannot apply for another BOWP, and time is running out. I should have never expected my COPR to come in 2 days to 2 weeks to begin with and played it safe by applying for a new passport when I learnt all stages have passed, but now it’s almost too late.

My office is OSC, Ottawa.

Pero de cualquier manera, a lo hecho, pecho. Gracias, amigo.

Hi, i have created new gckey now what can indo
Sorry that I reply late. After you have GCkey, try to follow the guideline that @Temitee002 has provided.

Linking PR Card application; Instuction
1. Login into your CIC account as you usually do.
2. Reach the page where you click "Check full application status" to view your application and messages
3. But do not click on that rather click on " Add (link) your application to your account"
4. Select the "Category" from the dropdown as "Permanent Resident Card"
5. Under Application Details, from "Please select one" select "Unique Client Identifier (UCI) and Family Name"
6. Put your UCI as it is NO SPACES and NO HYPHES
7. Put your Family Name as on you CoPR - UPPER and LOWER CASE matter here
8. The tricky one, Place of Birth Section. Here "City/town of birth" is very very crucial. Copy it as it is on your CoPR, any commas, upper/lower case, spaces, just copy it here.
9. Select your "Country/territory of birth" from the drop down
10. Next section is pretty easy as you just select your "Date you became a permanent resident" from dropdown. This is the day you did your landing by either flagpole or landing interview
11. Put "Country of Citizenship" and "Current marital status" from dropdowns.
12. Click "Search for my application", if all the inputs are correct then it will show you that the system has found your application. You just have to click Link my application to account and it will now be shown on "View the applications you submitted" page with your Permanent Residency application.
13. If after clicking "Search for my application" it show no application found, click Try again and try to input all the values carefully again. Each day it allows you 5 attempts. It it still doesn't find your application, you can try again the next day.

I would try and change the password. I am sure there is that option rather than create a new account.
Hahaha, I wish I can do that, but I can't (I don't even have a username and password before).
Now, I have created a new one for myself tho.
Btw, thank you for your input Kevin2020. ;)

Hi mapple007, I think it is very important that you have a valid status here. Personally think you should update with them because the COPR will state your passport information. All the best, amigo. :D

Anyone here who are still waiting for the PR card of their spouse dependent (main applicant and minor dependent already received the cards). Couldn't get through CIC by phone too. Thanks for your input.
Hi limitless77777, I have replied to your message on Wednesday. I think you might miss that, so I would like to copy that again to you.

@limitless77777 Hi limitless77777, first I would like to congrats you and your child for getting the PR card.
For your cases, I think it is fine, your spouse might need a new photo if they require to do so.
Don't get too worried. He/She should be able to receive the card within 6 weeks. If not, he/she must complete the solemn declaration for them saying that he/she was never received the card. Thank you and good luck.

I found this website to answer most of the questions here. Folks, you can take a look if you are interested. Thanks

I was told that my permanent resident card was sent to me but I did not get it yet. What should I do?
If you did not get your PR card before six weeks have passed

If you are waiting for your PR card, but less than six weeks have passed from the time the card was mailed to you, you must wait until this time has passed.

If you did not get your PR card after six weeks have passed

If you are waiting for your PR card and six weeks have passed from the time the card was mailed to you and you did not get it, you must complete a solemn declaration. Mailing instructions are provided at the bottom of the form.

Note: if 180 days have passed since the PR card was mailed, you will have to apply for a PR card, fill in section G (solemn declaration), and include the fee payment.
