The eligibility is the most time consuming stage and there are not time frames since each case is different.

The Program analyst does not make a decision, the officer will make a decision.

ADR has nothing to do with the processing as such. ADRs are sent for various number of reasons, from requesting missing documents, seeking clarifications etc.

Thank you for the info

For SOWP where the spouse is already in Canada on ICT WP with NOC A job, what is required to get the application expedited? Kindly advise

Hello @legalfalcon

I am a FSW-inland applicant and applied for my BOWP on December 17th, 2020. However, I have not received any update on my online account since then.

1) As per my last GCMS Notes, since February 2nd, 2021, my BOWP application has been kept on hold due to the pending of R10 completeness stage. Last week, I called IRCC and they told me that my eligibility is already passed on my PR application. Does it mean that my R10 stage is passed as well?

2) Would you know how long does it take for IRCC to review BOWP applications that are on hold? Are these applications approved automatically after the R10 stage?

Thank you, your help is much appreciated.

Hi @legalfalcon ,

I mistakenly mentioned wrong date of birth for one of the parent in my PR application. How can I change the date of birth of a parent in the family record now that my PR application is approved and I have got the eCopr.I am still waiting for the PR card though. Thankx for your help.

Good day @legalfalcon on the ECOPR. Should we have both the city and place of birth?
Because I only have the place of birth on my eCOPR, is this fine??
Thank you

Usually you have the country of birth, unless the files expressly states city of birth.

You can send a webform get it corrected. However, sine your have been issued a COPR, so your application is approved and closed.

Whenever you file a application for your parent for visitor's visa / super visa or PR sponsorship, make sure you include a LoE explaining that your inadvertently entered the DOR incorrectly in your PR application. Not a big issue.

There is no way to expedite the processing, irrespective of which country you are in.

1. Yes, R10 is the first stage to be passed, and without R10 eligibility or another stage will not start. So if your eligibility has passed, then so your R10.

2. There is no such published timeline. However, if your BOPW is in progress, you can send a webform and inform that your R10 is passed. However, after the R10, which is a prerequisite to BOPW processing, it should be done on its own accord.

IRCC’s ‘arbitrary’ automatic extensions on information requests created ‘unfair playing field,’ say immigration agents

Another day, another piece of misinformation

“You don’t have to be licensed to do that, you just have to be in Canada,”

Fact checking is hard work. It's even harder why you receive bogus statements from a "lawyer" that has not been called to the bar.

Republished today as follows;

According to a federal webpage, Canadian citizens, permanent residents, and individuals or corporations in the country can make a request under the act. Those who are neither can ask a representative who holds citizenship or permanent residency to do so on their behalf with written consent.

I cannot predict when you will receive a COPR. Instead check your application for what stages have passed.

All application go though the following:

1. R10
2. Criminality
3. Medicals
4. Eligibility
5. security

You can send a webform or call IRCC and ask the processing details of your application. Alternatively you can request your GCMS notes to know the details.

Currently all pre-COVID published timelines do not hold good anymore, and IRCC is prioritizing CEC and applications for applicants that are in Canada.
