I have been noticing this trend and I believe that medical extension these days is a sign of approval. Most folks are now getting it within 1-2 days after extension.

Yes I notice that too. But do we know it? If the medical is being extended

will it be shown in the portal on the date that it was extended? Or the extended date will only be popped up when we receive COPR / final decision made

It was literally killing me. The no pattern thing.
Just nothing we can do I understand. The feeling of nothing can do is really bad bad bad.

It shows up sometimes before approval, sometimes with approval. Again, no pattern. Crazy

I have seen the most recent medical extensions i.e. during/after May 20’s week of last month were able to receive approvals within days. I firmly believe that an officer has to manually change the medical status to passed even though the extension would have been granted in the backend already by the health department. Similar to what we have seen when we applied for PR, as we got medical passed updates only after an agent manually processed our file during the completeness checks and issued us BILs even though medicals were passed way before that. Mine were passed May 29,2020 but mycic portal had July 20.

yes, this is what I believe. All depends on the officer or the container where our file is. It’ll get picked up, just want it to be very very soon cz I just wanna enjoy the summer. Having PR will give me a peace of mind . I’m gonna stay in Alberta Rockies for a week after I get my PR to reset my brain, lol.

I think it is better to follow up your file with a MP. I just received the note and every communications from the MP office are noted in the file.
I am not sure if this makes them notice my file.
Also, I notice that my file has been assigned to other officer not DM10032 any more

Thank you @kn604 for sharing your insights. Now I see it, I believe DM10032 could be a container where all the files are placed and might not be an actual officer. CB01126 was another officer people complained about, but in the end after this website requested information from IRCC it turned out to be a container. So, looks like our files are in one of the container getting picked up one by one as they move through the backlog..

Just me thinking!

You will get your login credential email within a day or two, max by next week depending on the day virtual landing office releases the bulk emails. Lately they are taking anywhere between 1day-2weeks. Good thing is you are approved so no worries there

Did your MP helped you to push hard?

i asked my MP for help, first reply was a brief dates of my application, then I tried to ask more about why criminality still in progresse, the reply came back is every file is viewed individual bla bla bla

don’t know “how” should I ask the question to let my MP fight harder for me lol
