Hey guys I did my online test today. During my online test, I forgot to close test invite (pdf) file. chrome browser had only one test tab webpage open for duration of test? Will I have to test again or would consider as cheating? PDF file open was test invite information file downloaded from my email

Shouldn’t be a problem as long as you didn’t click on those while the test was going on.

Hi Easyguy123, I have a same issue like you. when I opened my email to click the test link that was sent to me after I signed in. It automatically open another tab for me to do test, and I forgot to close the other tab. Just wonder by now do you receive your official result yet? Does any one have the same issue like me. Please share. Thanks

Hi Easyguy123, I have a same issue like you. when I opened my email to click the test link that was sent to me after I signed in. It happened to me too. It happened to few of us but I still have seen people getting oath invitations after that. So, I think we should be okay.

I got interview request on April 19 after did test on April 18

No worries. I left 3 tabs open like my email and links and my test results has been approved according to the IIRC helpline.

I took my test online today and passed the test. i read the instructions wrong i think i messed up. It says you are not supposed to use any “external source of information” and i used my notes confidently thinking i can use them. Do i need to take the test again? Would my test results be invalid because of this silly mistake

Yes, you would probably have to retake the exam ..

Depends if they figure your were reading or looking for answers. If random pictures taken at random times, didn't capture you looking away from the screen, you would be lucky. Else you would have to wait and hope for the best.

My wife completed the citizenship test today and passed. Before the exam, I was fixing the webcam and had the devices manager opened. During the exam, approximately halfway through it, my wife noticed this other window still open and tried to immediately close it prompting a message saying something like "oops looks like you're opening a new tab.." Has anyone had the same experience where they inadvertently opened a different window? I am hoping IRCC is able to get information like which window was being opened so they are able to tell that there was no intention of cheating.

Well if you were captured on camera looking at your notes, then this would be flagged as cheating on the test. No video is recorded - the camera takes pictures at random times during the duration of your test. If you were looking at the notes frequently, then it is probable that there is an image of you looking at the notes. I'm sorry this happened to you.

Cheating
If a citizenship official suspects that an applicant is cheating at the knowledge test session, the test must be taken away. An applicant caught cheating forfeits their opportunity for a retest. The officer should make detailed notes in GCMS and on file as to what transpired during the test session to ensure there is a record for reference. The officer should schedule the applicant for a hearing with a citizenship officer. Cheating on a written knowledge test or during a hearing constitutes misrepresentation, as the results are not a true measure of the knowledge or abilities of the applicant. If an officer believes there is misrepresentation associated with an application, the officer must summarize their findings for their local officer supervisor.

Well as long as the window was closed immediately and there was no such warning shown more than once, she should be fine IMO.
