Can we have two permanent residency applications at same time?

Hello, Please advise me if possible

I am planning to apply for TR to PR public policy on Thursday.
I will be eligible for CEC after 4 Months. If i will get invitation after 4 months under CEC stream and suppose I will not hear anything from IRCC regarding my ongoing submitted application i.e
Public policy application then I may apply for CEC (Note: I will not apply for CEC if there will be any update/process on my ongoing application)

My question is, Can we have multiple permanent residency applications at the same time?
If so, can we decline other application if i get PR approval from one of the application?
Are there any issues if we have two ongoing applications for PR?

Advice would be appreciated.

Hi~ If my job titles and duties are different under 2 different PR programs. Would that be a problem? Can a visa officer processing my 1st application see my materials under the second one? Thanks in advance!
