True..but why are Pakistan fights banned also? Plz dont compare India covid situation with Pakistan . Pakistan has much much lower numbers patients as well as lower number of fatalities due to covid than India Alhamdulillah. Still when situation in India worsened Canada put ban on Pakistani flights too. May Allah help Indian people, we pray for them.As much as everyone understand frastruation caused by Pandemic, Canada like many other countriea has obligation to control its boarders and health of Canadian Residents. And yes, PM had announced in the past that Feds will impose restriction sometimes without prior public notice. While waking up at 03:00 may seems challenging plus money lost on quaranteen etc but priority number one is health, contain cases and avoid more deaths. That is interest of every resident. Control importation of new mutants from outside.
More of these viruses are there to come..just wait. These Chinese and Israelis destroyed everything.Gist of it is getting vaccinated. All these restrictions can only help little but getting vaccinated is what is required at this time.
I did not draw comparison between the two countries and i do not want to speculate reasons as to why Pakistan flights were suspended as well. However, because of the proximinity between the two nations, either placing suspension in one country will create shifting mobility to the other as transit route and increase chances of new variantTrue..but why are Pakistan fights banned also? You cannot travel across border freely like USA and Canada between india and pakistan due to their relation but i can say that pakistan was scapegoat. Main cases are in india only but if they would not ban pakistan then it would create another issue.I did not draw comparison between the two countries and i do not want to speculate reasons as to why Pakistan flights were suspended as well. Do Pakistan/India dont issue transit/entry visas between each others? I guess i did not use the word “ travel across the border freely like US&CN”, and i understand the tension between two nationsYou cannot travel across border freely like USA and Canada between india and pakistan due to their relation but i can say that pakistan was scapegoat. Yes they do offer but mostly people wouldn't travel if its not an emergency. At least from an indian perspective we prefer either Gulf countries or European countries for transit purpose. As most flight are either transit through Abu Dhabi, Doha, Dubai or Germany and London. Also i have made peace with this travel ban and till September travel will be difficult unless and until government allows it. In addition to it indirect flights are too much hassle and as i have already spent huge amount i wouldn't waste my money again to travel.Do Pakistan/India dont issue transit/entry visas between each others? as the canada has imposed ban until 31st of may, it's better to plan in the month of June. Even i had flight on 19th of may emirates airlines, i changed it to 9th of june.is this restriction again take more time ?
our flight is on 29th April from India via Dubai to Canada
so after 30 days are they start allowing flight from India ?
Hope for best. We had changed to 4th juneas the canada has imposed ban until 31st of may, it's better to plan in the month of June. Even i had flight on 19th of may emirates airlines, i changed it to 9th of june.
Argentina should have won the 2014 world cup. Life is not fair, is it?The government of Canada is collecting upto $1800 per year as health insurance fees from international students. They should plan to refund that if they are planning to dis-allow travel.

Hahahaha... as fair as it is.... I didnt know if Government of Canada is collecting $1800 upfront before arrival until today. I thought his college seneca is, and give credit refund when Ontario Government enroll you for OHIP. As desperate as it gets.... arhue will pick up anything and vent his or her (i dont know) frastruation. Chill outArgentina should have won the 2014 world cup. Life is not fair, is it?
Well said... especially last paragraphThis thread is a waste of time. People just arguing with each other without much empathetic discussion. Some people wanting to travel when it's not absolutely necessary they should be, and some people proposing things like an absolute flight ban until 2025. Additionally a lot of content is based on media articles about things which tend to be false when they're talking about science.
For example, the double mutation - no-one has proven it is more concerning yet, but the click-bait title of 'double mutation' for the variant name somehow justifies being worried about it more. On the other side, there are these students that are so desperate to go to Canada right now that they almost speak about it like a life and death thing. I was an international student once and I have been a resident of Canada for almost a decade now, and I can see both sides are being a bit extreme. There will be people that travel for 'real' emergencies like the death or to take care of a loved one. And there will be people that bend the rules and try to cut corners when they shouldn't.
I think Indian people have brought this on themselves. Of course not everyone is to blame, but a community does get a bad name due to the actions of a few. Those people that didn't quarantine and produced fake tests to board flights have caused this whole thing. I can't accept the idea that _all_ of those traveling in the past 2-3 months have been traveling out of necessity. Impossible. They just wanted to do it and didn't consider the virus as something serious. And those of us that really had to travel for emergencies or health reasons have to pay the price for their recklessness.
