Hi, Did you get any update on the case I am still waiting did not hear anything. RegardsWe had exactly the same timelines. I did my test end of Jan, and my husband got the test invite in mid-March. Now my husband got an interview invite.
Any one else in same situationHi Every One,
I submitted my family citizenship application in September 2019, I received the AOR in December 2019 and my wife received test in mid Jan 2021. Since then I have not heard back from them. My question is do they offer test to one of family member ideally it should be invitation for both. What should i do to at least know what is going on, online application status shows in process which was last updated in December 2019.
Regards
CP
Same case. Wife got test invite, interview and now DM. I'm still waiting for test.Any one else in same situation
Well in my case mine is DM but my minor kis is still process.. It's been more than a week now.We applied as a family - I can see in eCas that they flipped my application to Decision Made but my wife’s is still In Process. Any similar cases or anyone has any idea how that works ?
Thank you!Congrats! I have a very similar timeline. Are you with the Scarborough office as well?
Either would work, but do download for stability sakeDoes anyone know if I need to download zoom and make an account to attend the oath ceremony, or if I can just click on the link and use a web browser?
No exceptions. Are there exceptions if a citizenship application is in process?
We don't really want to go to the hassle of renewing and paying money for a new PR card, but realize that may be our only option. I am pretty sure for my wife to get back into Canada (whether by car or plane) they won't like seeing an expired PR card.
Thank you very much! I appreciate the helpNo exceptions.
By car using rental/personal car, she can just use copr along with passport to enter. You dont need PR card for entry by personal/rental vehicle.
We need PR card for boarding bus/plane/commercial vehicles.
I'd say still renew your PR card. It may take you a day to prepare the doc but then it's very straight forward process. These are crazy times. Who know you may have to take a flight for any emergency. My wife has similar timeline. She applied and got it within 2 months. Total expense ~$80 including govt fee, shipping, photos etc.Hello everyone. We have a general question as we are somewhat confused as to why we haven't had our test rescheduled yet...
My wife's application was received Sept 10, 2019. and AOR in November 2019. We received a test invite in March 2020, but was then postponed due to Covid. We have recently reached out to our local office (Calgary), but they will not give any sort of timeline. As a result, we are still waiting on the test date and have no idea how long it will be.
Why we are curious...
My wife's PR card expires in June 2021 (next month). We had originally thought we would have citizenship long before that date, but this is not the case. We have a family wedding in September in the US, which we hope will be feasible to travel to.... but now we are not so confident I will have the Canadian citizenship documents by that time. We don't really want to go to the hassle of renewing and paying money for a new PR card, but realize that may be our only option. I am pretty sure for my wife to get back into Canada (whether by car or plane) they won't like seeing an expired PR card. Are there exceptions if a citizenship application is in process?
Any thoughts, comments or similar stories are welcome.
Thank you!
