I was hoping to do post-graduate, PGWP is not a priority for me at the moment. I just want to get my study permit back and finish my studies. What are the odds that I can do that?
None of us can tell you the odds for a study permit renewal.

The PGWP won't be feasible unless you change programs and start from scratch.

I meant masters not post graduate.
Do you have acceptance from the university with a new LOA to continue your studies? If so, you will not be eligible for a PGWP. If you want a PGWP, you need to apply to a new program.
I havent finished my undergrad yet, Im hoping to return to school and finish my courses if i can get my permit

But if you have been reported then you need to contact the school as you are not a student there anymore. The school needs to accept you back so you will need a LOA to apply for a study permit. Visa officer will want to see that you are enrolled in a school.

Are you sure that I am no longer enrolled? I still have my university log-in and everything, although I am restricted from taking courses. So I'll have to tell my school about the situation and ask them the have me back and then submit my study permit restoration?

Also will I get a removal order or have officers show up to my door? I will buy a ticket to return to my country but I can only buy couple months ahead because of the ticket prices

Well to get a study permit, you need to show you are accepted and enrolled. You need to talk to your university.

I will talk to my advisor for this, thank you. IRCC website says they announced a temprorary extension for temprorary residents to restore their status (https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/coronavirus-covid19/restoration-extension-trv.html). As far as I understand I have time until August 31, 2021 to restore my status. Did I understand that correctly? If someone can help me out on this I would really appreciate it

Correct you have until Aug 31 2021 to apply for restoration as long as you have valid reasons.but if they cancelled your study permit in December, chances are you face inadmissibility when you apply to restore your status...which can prompt removal order

And I have to stay until my restoration is processed right? Can I leave before that? And If i can get a LOA from my school and apply for restoration outlining my reasons you say I will most likely be rejected right? I realize I overstayed my permit but IRCC gave me time until August, wont that help me at all during my appeal? You've been so helpful dude I can't thank you enough

You can leave anytime you want as Canada do not have exit control during depature. You need ticket and your boarding pass.
But Yes, you need to be in Canada for restoration application. If you get LOA back to school again and as long as they did not cancel your SP, then you can make a case to have your SP, but you need confirmation of readmission/LOA from University. The only consequency with this route is you wont be eligible for pgwp. However if all go well with your restoration and SP and provided you want to pursue your Masters after undergrad then you will be eligible after graduating your Masters degree. But you will have tight window from when you finish undergrad and apply for Masters. By that time, your SP will not give you more time to go through application process for Masters, you will need to apply for change of status if you intend to continue be in Canada

however all of the above will be meaningless if they cancelled your permit and mark you as “Inadmissible”. You need to work with lawyer. This is where my comment on 3yrs wasted is... finally you can have login credential, student ID but that doesnt make you a student in Immigration perspective

Wait sorry I misunderstood your answer. So I will face inadmissibilty when I apply restoration and can get a removal order? In that case is it better to just leave the country and not apply?

Thanks I'll look into a lawyer, do you have any recommendations by any chance? Given that I've been reported my SP is probably cancelled. So in that case if I apply for restoration I'll just be discarded? In other words there is no use for applying for restoration if my SP is cancelled?

If they cancelled your visa citing violations of condition of your study permit, then the odds are high. However, im not making that judgement but its good to know good and possible bad news in your situation, then you plan and make next move
