oh this process can make a sane person insane. Then the added stress of Covid is not helping either...let's try and support each other here. We are all on the same boat for now.

Hi Passenger19, we had a full hearing so I'm not sure how different it is than ADR. No speeches, speak from your heart. The questions are based on what's in your application files. If you know each other and your marriage is genuine; you will be fine. Our hearing was over 5 hours, ADR are way less. Hopefully someone in the forum who had ADR will respond. But just be yourself, review all the information in your file. Review why you were denied and prepare to answer questions regarding it.

Hi, congratulations on your upcoming ADR. We also had a full hearing in January that lasted almost 7 hours altogether. We represented ourselves, and won our appeal. I agree with Alexis1971, speak from the heart and be as sincere as you know you are. We were asked a lot of questions pertaining to the progression of our relationship and marriage, and the inclusion of our family, from day one to present, with dates required. We’re all here to support each other.

We submitted our application in Oct 2019 and were refused in Sep 2020. They didn’t even bother to request more proofs (PFL) or send an interview invitation. Just straight to the refusal letter. They said we lacked proofs of our cohabitation and as we traveled in Europe for several months we “didn’t have a joint household in one dwelling” at that time. Most of our cohabitation time was in Russia, and it’s so different from the Western countries. Many things are unavailable for foreigners and their Russian partners. For example, Russia doesn’t recognize Common-law unions so no privileges are given under family laws. Our VO didn’t like that I wasn’t listed on the rental agreement. It happened because I moved after my partner signed it. I wasn’t allowed to include my name after moving in. The really sad part is that our landlord didn’t pay his taxes so he asked us to pay in cash. And when we asked to write a letter of support stating that both of us lived there he refused because he was afraid that Russia would somehow find out about his undeclared business. When we explained this situation in our request for reconsideration our VO still said no. In that email sent to VO to request the reconsideration we CC’d Mark Mendicino. After several weeks a person who answers his emails said it was right that we got refused. It was such a slap in the face considering that we meet all the requirements for CL. So now after we collected basically everything we could legally find I still kinda in disbelief that someone would want to know our real story and help us finally stop this visa nightmare.

Hi Armoured! The first month was the hardest one. Basically not that much:
1) Tickets showing that on that day I arrived in the city from a long trip.
2) Many letters from friends who visited our apartment before and after I moved in stated that I moved in that month.
3) Letters from his parents who happened to visit us for 10 days during our first month of cohabitation. They started that they visited our flat multiple times during those 10 days.
4) Bank statements showing matching places such as Supermarkets, Restaurants, stores, bakeries in that district. For example, the same numbers of on each of ours statement over an over again. (it shows like Пятёрочка # 1234) I highlighted all the matching stuff.
5) Yandex.Taxi order history showing the rider to the flat (just one in that month tho)
6) WhatsApp convos like “when are you gonna be home? I’m cooking dinner”

In the second month I started to feel more comfortable with the new address so I had some online orders at pick up points near by our flat and food delivery.

By the time It gets more and more options like medical records, orders, many transfers, more friends who came over to our flat, and my family’s letters. But the first month is kinda “please believe us and our people’s statements”

I even contacted my phone provider and asked for my location history haha. Since they obliged to store it for 5 years. But only the police has access to the data. Like yeah sure. Same with my transport card.

Thank you for your suggestions. Unfortunately, we don’t live there anymore. We asked the landlord for the support letter when we already stopped living there, so we couldn’t make him to do so. Funny story, we had his mom’s number, as we saw her on several occasions, even she couldn’t change his mind.

No, there would be just my partner presented, without witnesses, even without me. Just him during the video call. Fortunately now we have a joint rental agreement and some of other hardcore things. Fortunately now we have a joint rental agreement and some of other hardcore things. A lady from Appeal Division Board in Montreal who helped us to get prepared for the appeal said that new evidence of cohabitation will be considered as a big plus and may affect the final decision.

It sounds like you've done everything you can to prepare and document (given what documentation you have available). I doubt I can add much that you and your spouse don't know but two short thoughts:

-If the approach in the hearing is 'legalistic', it will likely turn on whether your cohabitation period started when you said it did (with your supporting documentation).

-Hopefully your current cohabitation will convince them or contribute to them taking a reasonable view.

-If it's in-between (legalistic but willing to consider subsequent developments), the argument you can make is that while the subsequent cohabitation (i.e. now) does not prove the precise date - because it was in the past, that's impossible - it does argue strongly for the documentation you provided being true and factual (given the reasonable explanations you provided).

There's probably a more concise way to put this last point - but most simply, clearly you do cohabit now and did before, the only remaining question is when you started doing so; and the history is such that it's only reasonable in context to believe you started living together when you say you did (esp since the documentation 'gaps' are only minor).

My question is online it says outland applications r processed in sydney NS and inland in CPC M
Why is my file gone to cpc-m if my.sponsorship is outland?
