apply TRV within Canada and get stamping in India

Hello All,

Not sure if it’s already answered. I applied for TRV within Canada and requested to expedite because of some medical emergency in family. I got the TRV approval, however, as there was no time duration, I travelled to India. Alongwith TRV approval, IRCC advised to submit the passport ASAP to CPC Ottawa so that they can expedite the stamping. However, I am already in India. Can I get the passport stamping done in India based on the Passport Request and approval from Canada? If yes, do I need to give biometrics as well (as I didn’t give biometrics till data and applicants within Canada were exempted from Biometrics). Also, what is the procedure and timelines?

My wife travelled before me of which I informed CPC and hence, CPC treated her application differently and issued a Biometrics Letter and transferred her application to India. What will be the process of getting TRV approval and stamping for my wife? What are the timelines? Please provide suggestions.

At least they should open the file. It seems they didn’t touch our file at all. As valid work permit it’s not a big deal to approve TRV. Can’t do anything but just waiting.

I filled upto 5 webforms stating my situation and how long I have been waiting for it but there response seems to be an automated one. Atleast they should inform about our application and how long it takes or the reason for the delay. I am worrying without knowing the reason whether the kept them a side or transferred to india or anything went wrong in my application

How did you request to expedite ? I also had medical emergency, submitted death certificate via webform as well but still no movement on the file apart from acknowledgement of webform. I had to travel to India and now stuck here.

Just I got a mail that my TRV application is transferred to New Delhi. I submitted web form to expedite with all proofs. Does anybody know how much time New Delhi office taking to process VISA here. Is any similar case? Please suggest.

In the same boat. No idea how long this is going to take. Delhi IRCC has declared process is slow and VFS are working reduced hours. There is lockdown imposed in Delhi and also their official email sends back automatic replies only. No replies on Twitter. This is a situation which is beyond frustration.

Ohok. When did your application get transferred? How to contact VFS? Is it only through mail?
