My new baby was born after getting AOR.
What kinds of documents should I update via webform?

Hi everyone:

I need help with my CEC PR application process.

I entered the pool around mid January 2021, and got an ITA on February 13, 2021 with CRS of 380.

Application was submitted on Feb 21, 2021 and got cancelled on March 10, 2021 due to expired medical upfront(exactly 1 month expired after submission)

I redid my medical exam and raised CSE via webform on March 11, 2021 with the updated document. At the same time, created a new EE profile got in the pool on the same day.

April 7: I received this message from the CSC:
Good day,

Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada.

We verified the information you provided and have forwarded it to the responsible office.

Furthermore, we are pleased to confirm that the application is still in process.

Due to the ongoing situation related to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), some IRCC offices are currently operating with reduced or critical staff only.

We are working on processing applications as quickly as possible; however, processing times are affected and any disruption caused by COVID-19 is not reflected accurately on our website. We will make all the necessary efforts to finalize the application as soon as possible.

Rest assured that you will be informed as soon as a decision is reached or if additional information is needed.

Furthermore, please note that there are two ways you can check your application status online. You can verify the status of your application:

• Submitted by mail (if it was not linkedto anonline account):
  • by using the e-Client Application Status(e-CAS) online tool, which is updated daily.
• Submitted online orsubmitted by mail and linked to an online account:
  • through your online account.

Does this mean my application will be reopened soon or they are still working on considering the enquiry? My status online still shows as “cancelled as incomplete” as of today.

You can call IRCC and ask the agent if you are inside Canada. Call Mon-fri from 8-4

I emailed CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca one week ago regarding VO but did not receive a response. I emailed them again yesterday. Should I just hang tight and be patient?

btw I called them before emailing and they said they don’t have any information regarding applications outside Canada. Did not even give me the VO on call.

Its same for most of the people who have files in Sydney, NS. Background check takes most of the time so it better they close it first.

YEs, you are exempt from travel restrictions as you are an immediate family member.

i have a blood sister in Canada who is a citizen and i have claimed her points and provided all her info in my application.

You will have to apply for an authorisation to travel under extended family exemption, which is at the discretion of IRCC.

My spouse is a PR holder and is currently residing in canada. So I am exempted from the travel restriction. Will it effect the processing of my application?

Yes you are exempt as you are an immediate family member. You can travel to Canada if you have a valid visa or if you are from a visa exempt country and it has no impact on the processing of your application.

I am from Kenya and my AOR is 23rd Feb. Not sure if they are the ones processing my application but i can imagine them being slow
